    Ohhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah that makes perfect sense silly me. Is it referencing a specific Black Panther poster, by any chance?

As opposed to something which isn't mind blowing while you're on hallucinagenic drugs. So... nothing?

You people are making me want to buy some classy-ass posters. But I should probably get some walls to put them on first.

I have one poster that is my favorite. I talked some employees at a Japanese Game Center into giving me an old prize poster for Dragon Quest toys. It was already pretty beat up, but I'm probably one of a handful of people to have it. Sorry about the glare, but the lighting in my room sucks.

I won all of the toys on the poster too.

I have a weakness for minimalist movie and game posters. I haven't bought any yet, but every few weeks I have fun looking through http://minimalmovieposters.tumblr.com/archive

The only gripe I have with those minimalistic posters is that they usually make poor adverts. They don't say anything about the movie unless you had seen it already to begin with. I think that really defeats the purpose of what a movie poster should do.

I just have NSFW Grinderman posters and other music related ones. I don't have a pic but my favorite are a lithograph poster of a Nine Inch Nails show that was at a small club and a signed Devo lithograph concert poster. It's beautiful.

Going to buy a huge print of BLAM! by Lichtenstein when I have more wall space

That's kind of the entire point. They're always fan made, and appeal to people who love the movie. They're like in-jokes.

yeah, they obviously don't work as ads most of the time. But as visually pleasing wall-decorations, they're often much more successful than informative movie posters.

I guess that's why I don't like them that much. They feel like they're more like fan art then anything else sometimes. I mean, they can look great, but I end up missing the creative aspect that is involved in making a poster that works as an advert as well. The part that entices people who haven't seen the movie to want to see it while giving an idea of what the movie is about or the themes. I feel like it has to be more focused and thought out to be successful. But that's just me

but, speaking of posters. These are amazing http://wellmedicated.com/inspiration/50-incredible-film-posters-from-poland/
