PS3 controller on PC bluetooth without hosing your drivers?

So every tutorial I have read on how to use your ps3 controller on your pc (via bluetooth) has involved using some 3rd party software (motionjoy I think was the name) to load some crazy driver which they say 'may break your other blue tooth devices'. I know you can swap back to your old drivers, but thats a major pain just to play a game.

Is there no SIMPLE way to use your ps3 controller on your pc? A way that doesn't cause all your other bluetooth devices to stop working?

Thanks!

A USB to MINI USB cable?

    Nope, bluetooth = wireless.

Yeah, I know what bluetooth is. I also know you're shit out of luck if you don't want to have to mess around with your drivers.

Very odd nobody has come up with a better solution for this. It's not like PS3 hasnt been around for ages. Is anyone else aware of any other options?

And on a side note - what about 360 controllers? Do they suffer from the same problem if you want to go wireless?

360 controllers are much happier operating in a Windows environment. No personal experience, but I'm sure someone will chime in with advice. After all, the Madcatz 360 controller is very popular to use as a base for D.I.Y. fightsticks.

Xbox controllers have proprietary wireless thingamabobs, so you either go regular wired (which is great for PC, as you're usually right beside the tower), or buy the USB receiver thingamabob with a wireless controler.

The Xbox 360 controller is 100% automatically compatible with a huge amount of current games, and many of them are able to detect the device and change on-screen prompts from keyboard/mice to xbox pad buttons.

If you already have like 4 wireless 360 pads, then it´s kinda annoying because the usb receiver is not sold on its own anymore, only bundled with a wireless controller.

I really like the wired controller on pc, anyways, it's much lighter and has more space for my long fingers on the back.

I hate 360 controllers (and most pc controllers). They are bulky and just don't feel as good as PS3 controllers. And I already have two ps3 controllers, so I want to use them.

I was thinking - could I just buy a second bluetooth adapter? They are pretty cheap, like 5 bucks. Can I hose the drivers on that, and still leave my other bluetooth adapter in working condition for my other devices? Can you have two bluetooth adapters on one machine?
