Lost all extensions on Chrome.

After restarting chrome the other day, all my extensions disappeared. I'm still signed in and have my saved passwords and stuff. All the threads I find on Google are from over a year ago. Anybody know how to fix this? I've tried restarting my browser and machine, and logging out and logging back into Chrome.

Hmm. Well, what operating system are you running? You can check and see if the extension files (all .CRX) are still there:

    Mac: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Extensions

    Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions

    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default

Let me know if you find anything. Without more information, it sounds to me like a virus or virus-cleaning effect; Those folders are often deleted when cache files are played with.

Did you try re-adding any extensions? Maybe one that you didn't have before? What happens when you try? Are other Browsers (Firefox, IE) no extension-less too?

I'm unique. Just like everyone else.

Try disconnecting your Google account in the settings (not just logging out), and then sign back in.

Disconnecting and reconnecting my account didn't seem to help anything.
I'm on windows 7, and C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions has a bunch of folders with names that look like someone bashed on a keyboard randomly, but no .crx files. Is that normal? I haven't re-added any extensions, and I never use Firefox or IE. I don't think I've done any virus scanning stuff so I don't think that's it.

Yes. CRX files are only used for installation, when installed they are unpacked into a folder with the same name as that extension's ID.
