That's it. I'm voting for all y'all. As soon as I get home from my commute, because fuck typing tags on my dumb phone.

I did that once, it didn't turn out well

So I've been meaning to ask this, but does anyone care to come forward and take credit for killing stever? It's really odd that this seems to be a big unknown. I think Saber was also alluding to the fact, that he was completely in the dark on what happened here.

  • EgosEgos Registered User regular
It wouldn't be terribly surprising if TRV was part of the group considering his vote. If they are mostly/all dead it could explain it.

Now that you've told me who it is I remember that show, though I didn't see a whole lot of it.

Upon further reflection there's no reason to hide any of this, so for whatever it's worth here it is:

TheRoadVirus, The Anonymous and I seered Saber as innocent on night two. I believe nobody else was involved since the three of us supposedly had high enough cards to hit 100%. TRV died that night and so he never got the results. If there was a mole in our group it would have to be either T_A or myself, but Saber is a fairly high profile target so I don't consider Saber's death as particularly suspicious.

    So that rules out TRV.

I suppose it might be possible that whoever was involved is dead now.

Until somebody provides an explanation of his activities that makes sense, I vote for the guy who engineered the death of Kilnaga, who I was pretty confident was village.
    The Anonymous

By the way, I entirely mean this. If there's some reasonable explanation here, I'll change my vote. But right now, I see someone who has 1) as far as I can tell, not offered a reason for any vote they've made the whole game, 2) decided at the literal last minute last night to save someone, apparently without coordination or discussion with anyone, and 3) immediately put in a vote the next day for the same person they saved the night before, so clearly the previous night's decision was not based on some insight into jdark's being good.

The games I've seen T_A pull that off in....he usually turns up as village. Last minute shenanigans. Otherwise he plays it low-key. Granted he may have become aware of the meta (not sure if that is the term here) and is aware people like Smasher and I would have picked up on this.

  • The AnonymousThe Anonymous Uh, uh, uhhhhhh... Uh, uh.Registered User regular
    I'm not that smart. :P

  • archivistkitsunearchivistkitsune Registered User regular
So we still seem to have a tie. Here is what I'm seeing as reasonable evidence on our two tied people.

    Jdark
-Was saved at the last minute by vote shenanigans.
-Can't tell if he is joking about the tie thing or not.

    T_A
-Was involved in the shenanigans that saved jdark.
-Was in the group that confirmed Saber. Oddly enough one of the guys involved died that night and then Saber died the next night.
-Now is voting for the guy he saved.

Oh, yeah, and the one substantive point The Anonymous has brought up is their call for more public calling "stuff," which I assume means cards and the use of cards, but The Anonymous hasn't shared their card with us, or followed up on this point in any way.

I'm open to argument, but right now I guess I think we'd be better off trying to improve our soft networking, not giving the mafia perfect information instead of just more info than each of us.

Egos: that's good to know. That makes me more likely to change my vote once I have some kind of reasonable justification for that set of actions.

I can't be the only one looking askance at Mill, can I? Getting into a little bit of trouble and then miraculously saved by a big ol' wagon? Making largely empty but still seemingly constructive posts? Now voting for T_A because, while he really wants to go after Jdark, he knows how bad that would look?

    Yeah, that guy, he's mafia.

Yeeeaaaaah. I don't know how that slipped my mind, but thanks for reminding me.

    My card history is thus:
Day 1 - get 3 of Diamonds, hold
Day 2 - play 3 of Diamonds on Saber
Day 3 - get Ace of Hearts, hold

  • InvictusInvictus Registered User regular
Why hold rather than discard the ace of hearts? It seems better to try your luck at a better card.

@Mikey CTS I understand you're angry because you feel that I misrepresented you, but don't call it a misquote. You said "jdark because grudge!". That is, literally, a quote.

Regardless of that, you only targeted me on Day 1 in the MtG game. I assume that was grudge-related, because you did not target me on subsequent days. So upon examining the evidence, you're absolutely correct, there is no immediate indication that you have pursued a grudge against me past Day 1. I wasn't aware of this, so I apologize for portraying you as simply following a grudge. I hope we can look past this misunderstanding.

That said, that doesn't divorce you of the group of CesareB, yourself, and OminousLozenge that I find super suspicious because of your voting records. But you did have a reason for voting as you did, unlike CesareB and OL, who both switched to someone else when challenged.

The only reason I haven't voted for one of you already is...

Has anyone received clarification on what ties do besides "your mom"?

  • archivistkitsunearchivistkitsune Registered User regular
Nope. Given this is Gandalph_the_Crazed and his response was your mom. I really don't want to approach finding this out with the approach of "for Science!" Gut tells me this could ends very badly for the village. Possible outcomes I see:

    -Vote winners die
    -Vote tier dies
-Vote winners and vote tier all die

I'm sure other might have seen other results from other games.

I decided that since there wasn't anyone to team up and play the card with, there was no point in "wasting" the card.

I will admit, I did not fully understand the game mechanics before today.

The hilarious thing there is that Mikey and I haven't even had any contact this game.

T_A, you wanna put our aces of hearts together? I know someone with a 4 of hearts. That gets us a 60% shot at randomly tracking/vigging somebody. If someone has a black card to toss into the pot, we could make it a higher chance of almost definitely doing one of those.

Sometimes I have ideas for things.
  • The AnonymousThe Anonymous Uh, uh, uhhhhhh... Uh, uh.Registered User regular
Sounds like a plan. I have a target in mind, unless the village wants to pick someone else?

    Epic Reveal

So about that being a mouthpiece for a confirmed person. Well I'm in touch with such a person, I'm also someone that was confirmed night one. Invictus and OL can confirm this. Kilnaga could have as well, but he is dead. I'm also not the only confirmed person, and my colleague can vouch for my authenticity in private with those that confirmed him.

On day 1, I had a 3 of spades, and I, coordinating through Kilnaga, played it on Mill. He is a villager.

Well, this is unfortunate. I'm heading out in just a few minutes until after close, and the last hour looks to be dramatic. So if people want me to change my vote, this is the time to approach me.

I don't know how to play this. Should we be considering OL beyond reproach?

T_A basically saved me (accidentally) last night, though I guess he could have been trying to kill myself and Kilnaga. So I guess The Anonymous for now. I'm watching TWD and checking this thread, so if something changes, I'll be here.

    Man, can't I procrastinate in peace? :p

I'm not a big fan of either leading vote, so MikeyCTS. Is this effectively a throw-away? Yes. Does our collective vote history merit being suspicious of going with the bandwagon(s)? Yes.

Is TWD a million times better than Say Yes to the Dress? Yes. Is my wife willing to watch TWD? No. :(

Jdark, I wouldn't advise considering me beyond reproach. I've been treating the people who've helped me confirm the two villagers I've confirmed as only slightly more likely to be on the up-and-up.
