I stand by my statement that Treyarch has no fucking idea how to build a functional balanced fun game.
I know I'm asking for a shitstorm here, but what's wrong with BLOPS2 balance-wise? Assuming no connection issues, are the mechanics/weapons/gear that unbalanced to you?
I've yet to hear of an OP gun (ala AK74u/Type95) so far. SMGs are definitely faring better than most weapons so far, but not by much in my opinion.

Yeah until I see some actual overhead size comparisons I'm not sold on them, I want large ground war maps that don't suck.
They don't care about ground war. Like CTF and hardcore, they figure if they ignore it long enough the player base will shrink and then they can just scrap the mode completely.
I always like how in the little promo things, when they show someone using a sniper rifle on one of those "long line of sight" maps, they always make it look like he's making a carefully lined up shot. As if to say "Snipers are totally going to feel at home on this map!" cause snipers feel so out of place on all the other maps in the game and just don't work very well.
Also, hybrid between a sub-machine gun and assault rifle... the new gun is a carbine? I mean that's in that area between smg and rifle, isn't it? Not that it matters since its going to be hip-fire all day.
Some super frustrating games to start, but things got better in hardcore thanks to the sweet B23R. I would like to stop getting my AGR as the game ends though.
I found out that when hosting sharpshooter my connection is awful for most guns, but pretty great for the SWAT. Went from last to first in no time, but couldn't hold the top spot.

I bought a mic specifically to apologize to people I team kill in HC. There's been the occasional corner jump kill (the "ohfuckshoot! Shit..."), one concussion team kill ("aaaa gguuuuyy innnnn thhhhe doooor" "shit...") and the MANy times people walk into my line of sight as I'm firing.

I went from 15-7 to 15-16 in the span of five fucking seconds. Between getting buzzkilled off my escort drone and then getting spawnkilled for eight fucking deaths in a row, it tends to rub people the wrong fucking way.
Hijacked is one of the single worst spawn maps in CoD. It feels like it should belong in MW3. It's definitely in my top 3 worst maps of all time. I'd love it if 3ARC added a downvote option to certain maps. Like, I want X, Y, and Z maps to appear in my playlist less often.

MW3 spawns are no where even close to Hijacked spawns.
I mean, interchange, easily the worst MW3 map for spawn traps, will still change the spawn to a new area, if someone is 10feet from your 'safe' spawn area.
Hell, nuketown has better spawn logic than hijacked. AND NUKETOWN IS THE WORST MAP EVER.
Hijacked is a smaller stupider version of Wetworks, the other worst CoD map ever. At least it doesn't have 3x frags? Is that a redeeming quality?
I mean, I can find some overhead maps if interchange, and draw lines on where a guy can pass that will 100% switch the spawns. They are not at all dependent on LoS.
There is not a single map on blops 2 where this is true. As long as there is no LoS, you can spawn three feet from a guy. I'll make a video of the most redic Yemen game the PA group has played in. I sit still two inches away from a spawn for the entire second round of a ground war dom game. Then move a few feet to the left and shoot two people in the face with a shotgun as they spawn, like, 6 times in a row.
Blops spawns are a ton worse than MW spawns. True in blops 1 and mw1/2 as well, not just the current versions. Treyarch games spawn based on LoS, MW games spawn on map control. In my opinion, the IW model is ten times better, because while you will probably die outside the doorway you walk out when you spawn, at least you aren't spawning with someone on the overwatch three steps to your left.
It is especially bad on Domination (even more bad on Ground War Domination)
Hijacked doesn't come up in GW rotation.
I swear it does on WiiU but I could be mistaken.

2. Run through tunnel.
3. Drop EMP grenade in middle of tunnel to take out Betties/Shock Sticks/get EMP assists
3. Kill the entire opposing team from behind.
4. Idiot pubbies stumble their way onto the B flag because there's no one protecting it now as everyone is chasing after the troll with the shotgun.
5. Win

Now if it merely knocked you down and you had to spend a couple seconds standing back up I could totally get behind that. It's a slap on the wrist for not being aware of your surroundings that leaves you vulnerable for a couple seconds. But that tap straight up kills you, that's retarded.
Those maps looks great, with the caveat that I'm a huge fan of green energy ( especially hydropower) and also an afficinidado of Chinese desert hoteliery. But, man, does Vonderhaar looks like a huge douche in motion. Like a nerdy sloth from Goonies.

When that happens, I hop on B for a quick assist on the cap (if I don't die somewhere along the way, my typical route is Tunnel -> upstairs -> jump down & kill guys coming from side -> B flag). Usually I pull out my pistol (5-7 because it's better than the Tac-45 at range due to higher firecap/mag/accuracy) and keep one of the side routes covered during the cap. If the other team isn't a large group of good players, I'm able to be a difference-maker with the S12 pretty consistently.

I guarangoddamntee the messages you receive for your 49ers emblem are more positive than what I received for mine back in BlOps1.
Oh man.
When I play by myself or get host and the game fills with people from Texas, I'd say probably 10% of the emblems are confederate flags and another 5% are KKK related. This would probably get me banned for life from BLOPS2 from all the emblem reports.
