Weight Lifting Bench / Weights

I don't want to clog the fitness tip threads with questions about gear, so I thought I'd start a new topic.

I've been running / lifting for about two years now and I'm finally getting fed up with having to go to the gym. Since the majority of my lifting has turned to more free weights (dead lift / squat / rows / military press / bench press) and away from machines, I'm looking to get a basic home set for my basement. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand?

http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2427077 is what initially caught my eye for its simplicity. However they don't list weights on their website, does anyone have any suggestions of where to get weights themselves?

I am in the business of saving lives.

I can't remember what seminar I was listening to audio wise, but I remember hearing a big deal made about racks and their lack of width. The majority of racks used for lifting (squats in particular) don't allow you the proper amount of width to get into a good squat stance. If you're going to be squatting anything that could hurt you (which, honestly, is any weight) you should consider getting a power rack.

I'll see if I can find out what seminar that was I was listening to (I was on the way to get ART therapy with my sprint coach, she should remember).
