Dark Soals- praisin' the sun with Brolaire of Astora
In the Age of Ancients, The court was unformed, shrouded by fog.
A land of grey hoops, empty bleachers, and everlasting referees.
But then there was B-ball. And with B-ball came Disparity.
Dunks and three-pointers, fouls and free throws, and of course... Slams and Jams.
Then, from the Bench, They came, and found the Souls of Ballers within the jams.
Mikan, the First of the Ballers.
The Wilt of Chamberlain, and his sons of Harlem.
Jordan, the Lord of Air, and his faithful Bulls.
And the furtive Barkley, so easily forgotten.
With the Strength of Ballers, they challenged the refs.
Jordan's mighty dunks peeled apart their stiped uniforms.
The Globetrotters weaved great passes.
Mikan unleashed a miasma of blocks and rebounds.
And Shaq the Scaleless betrayed his own, and the refs were no more.
Thus began the Age of B-Ball...
But soon, the slams will fade, and only the Jam will remain.
Even now, there are only faint echoes, and man sees not slams, but only endless airballs.
And amongst the living are seen, carriers of the accursed Dunksign.

I went searching for the last two mimics in the dukes archives so I could get the avarice thingy to activate my red tear stone ring to test how much damage I can do in dragon form on a riposte.
Insert looney toons misadventures all over the damn place up and down left and right until I finally realised I'd walked straight past the last one in a room full of chests.
I get it, I warp back to where I'm going to test it...then I realise.
I'm a dragon. It's a headgear. I have to die first before I can use it.
That makes it very impractical to use in most situations.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
He doesn't drop anything unique so isn't on my to kill list
I tend to die a lot and lose souls and humanity so dark hand farming every npc in the game is pointless, plus I have 80 regular humanity items and like 35 doubles from being bored and wanting something to do while listening to a podcast
Slap youself and find something better to dow ith your time
Summon a buddy.
That is the way to cut off his tail.
Though the Obsidian Greatsword isn't that good anyway (it has pretty good damage for a greatsword, but it doesn't scale, so the characters that would use it probably have better options), so it wouldn't hurt to ignore it completely unless you're a completionist.

so apparently I can emulate an xbox controller with a logitech thing I already have, maybe?
Run that, go to Presets, see if you can find your controller. If you can't find it exactly, try the Rumble2 or whatever it's called and see if that works.
There's no way I would've made it through the first time as easy as I did without talking to this thread. I would've been fighting the Demon Ruins before going to Sen's lolol

Gotta say, although the whole game is mostly pretty fun the first half seems to work a lot better.
Maybe because it's more focussed? 'Go here, then here, then here' as opposed to 'choose any one of these 4 areas and hope for the best.'
But I guess that only works if you do know vaguely where to go at the start.

I think after I finish Lego LOTR this is going to be my 'play for a little bit at a time' game
something tells me it won't be quite as relaxing though!
I did not make it terribly far into Demon's Souls. It just never clicked for me and then having a friend play for me for a bit and get me some items just completely killed it for me for some reasons. I just did not want to put the time into it and I hated dying and was not having much fun.
I liked the ps3 version of dark souls but only played it for like 3-4 hours before stopping.
I'm enjoying this PC playthrough the most. Somehow I got way better at the game than I ever have been. (I have watched a couple of videos, but I mostly knew all of that stuff) just applying what I learned in the earlier games. And I think the biggest thing for me that makes it not very stressful at all is that dying does not often matter much at all.
Souls are so easy-come easy-go, at least for the first few hours that I've played so far. I mean they are everywhere in the game, and most of the enemies respawn all the time. So it usually pretty trivial to get that stuff back. Humanity is a little bit more complicated but still nothing I ever worry about as I never have more than 0-3 loose on me at any given time, though I guess that might change at some point.
I would probably get more stressed out if you could lose stuff of more value

Agree with this. Getting the lordvessel in a new game is always exciting, because you can warp around at will, but also disappointing because the best part of the game is over.

get a shield with high stability and wear that stam regen ring or the child mask
then just keep it up during attacks and take potshots when you end up under him, as you inevitably will
if he flys high up start to back away quick and you'll probably avoid the breath down attack
When he goes to stomp on you, back up while blocking and then get a few swings in when he recovers
