Agreed, Fast 6 looks utterly ridiculous but it will probably still be fun.
When F & F movies get ridiculous they become more entertaining.
Edit: I actually kind of liked Fast 3 from a "oh god this is so bad it is funny" standpoint. The best part is when some characters are going to be killed so they try and escape by drifting down a straight road only going about 30 mph when it would obviously be faster to just drive in a straight line.
You can't put The Rock and The Diesel in the same movie and not expect instant and all-consuming magic to happen. That everyone else in those movies is a tragic waste of space hardly matters when those two are around.
The Rock got fucked over in the second half. They didn't give him much personality, either.
So when he switches teams at the last moment its out of character.
I loved Fast 5, the rest were meh at best. In fact, the only reason I've seen any of the other movies is because when I saw that Fast 5 would have those two dudes on the screen together I had to at least brush up on what was going on. I will be at the theatre for Fast 6 even if all my friends shun me.
True. Still better then most of the previous movies, the only one that comes close in quality was Tokyo Drift.
He did that because I wanted to see them team up to take down the asshole bad guy. I'm pretty sure that's even what the script says.
Yes, except that completely fumbled the transition.
You don't expect a guy whose 100% focused on taking down criminals to do a 180 the instant it looks like there's a bigger threat. Not in a competent script. The lady cop also was far too sympathetic to the protagonists. It didn't take much for Diesel to change her mind, which made her look weak.

It wasn't that
Hobbs switched sides on a whim, he watched as his entire team was gunned down, and with the institutionalized corruption in Rio he knew that Dom and his crew were the only shot he would have at getting justice/revenge. Likewise ladycop seemed rather disillusioned with the utterly corrupt police bureaucracy, so why not fuck over the system, rob it blind, and retire to a beach with dose pecs?
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKERS
I don't understand the hate for FF3 (I assume people just really hate bow wow). Yes, its no FF1 or Fast 5, but its leagues better than 2 and especially the horrid CGI fest that 4 was.
Honestly? 0:29-0:33 is what formed my intense loathing for this movie that I have not actually seen.
I really do miss trailer voice guy. These days it's just dorky sound queues and blocky fonts pulsing on the screen. I'd rather hear that he's a who has to put his past behind him to save his future than read it over the course of the entire trailer.

Because they never experienced enough in the film to go against their ethics that the entire story spent all the time building. Hobbs is also the system, he should have been able to call in reinforcements from the FBI. He was a big shot, his team being taken out shouldn't have been enough to turn on the system enough that he'd need to become best pals with who he considered his no.1 priority within, what was it? 10 minutes? Far too little transition to be in character. With the lady cop they at least bothered to make her sympathetic to Diesel's team (even if it was still really easy for them to gain her trust*) so her joining Diesel made some sense. This is why they needed to give Hobbs character greater nuance and pragmatism, not a flat character whose actions are governed by the plot to save Diesel's team when convenient. Why should he trust Diesel at all? All through the movie Diesel's exploiting the corrupt atmosphere to his advantage and rubbing Hobbs face in it every chance he gets.
* which also blew her credibility as someone uncorruptable in the start. That's why Hobbs bought her onto the team in the first place. It makes him look like a bad judge of character.

oh c'mon do you hate fun that much
that line is almost as good as vin diesel's "I live my life a quarter mile at a time" or "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile"
I have and will continue to watch The Rock and Vin Diesel in everything and anything. They're wonderful, and the closest thing we have to classic action movie stars like Arnold, who was far from an actor but had such great charisma and screen presence that it's hard to care.

Trailer voice guy's name was Don Lafontaine, and the world is a poorer place without him in it.

I don't really disagree with any of your points, I guess I'm just able to look past most of it because god damn it, that movie is just so much fun.

FF5 was my favorite because it had the jobs system, but I did find FF6 to have the best villain in Kefka.
I submitted an entry to Lego Ideas, and if 10,000 people support me, it'll be turned into an actual Lego set!If you'd like to see and support my submission, follow this link.

True story: it took me 3 tries at youtube searches to find the trailer for Tokyo Drift because I kept getting Final Fantasy videos.
And yes, Kefka is by far the best villain.

My only gripe was Fast 3 is that they have to HAMMER the fact that the kid is not only out of place, but a goddamn alabama redneck throughout the movie. His Instant Messenger screen name is Bama Boy and for the last race they take what is considered one of the most iconic muscle cars which would not be even close to the level of the other cars used in that film and cram in some twin turbo Nissan engine into it so he can basically drive his big american penis around in circles and get the respect of Sonny Chiba.

Extended 3-minute version of the FF6 trailer? Okay.
And what the hell is an extended look. We already have previews for sneak peeks of upcoming trailers, do we really need extended look trailers that are even dumber than normal trailers?
I give it two years before the norm becomes packaging blu-rays of "Teenage Sex Comedy 2 Trailer: Uncensored and Expanded!" with purchase of "Teenage Sex Comedy: Uncut!"

Iron Man 3 had a great "extended look" for their trailer.
Gina Carano vs. Michelle Rodriguez fight scene? Why, yes please, thank you franchise I normally don't care about!

Both those guys are great action movie stars begging for a good action movie to star in.
Instead they spend a decade making The Tooth Fairy and The Pacifier.
Ok, to be fair The Pacifier would have worked if they'd had a decent script.

Return to Oz is fucking terrible. There are just so many things in it that are grating and bizarre in a bad way.

She'll get to drive a car but she's there for the ass kicking.
Seeing it just for Carano. And cars. I did not know she was in this movie.
