I thought it was... well-executed, in the way a three point turn in an oil tanker could be well-executed, but probably never elegant.
The feel for me was something like 90s television for teenagers just with a bit more threatened mutilation.

I certainly don't think that the idea that one might design a punishment to 'fit' the crime originated with the Daily Mail or particularly recently.
I guess what I mean is that mindset is too much of an obvious target to bother to go to the effort of making 40 odd minutes of television to point out that it's a bit bad, if there was a message maybe it was "look, people really think this way, what are you going to do about it?"
Hmm, so far the series has been okay but not like the first which was much stronger.
