i am seeing a live electronic act on thursday apparently
some kid who went to juliard and has no idea how good he is
(apparently really good)
I'm sure people will love it when he presses play on his mbp
8-)
this is what i thought
then i talked to the guy who did a podcast where this guy performed live, and he is apparently a very talented pianist who keyboards the hell out of it

Kinda surprised at the positive response this has been getting.
Why?
I love it
I'd imagine expectations were fairly low for an "original series" from what is primarily a streaming / distribution service.
The last one (I don't even remember the name) wasn't received very well, was it?
This could easily have been on the level of a SyFy original series.
Who did the last one have in it?
'Cause I'll be honest I was semi interested in it from a "oooo politics" perspective but what pushed me over the top was without question Kevin Spacey.

Most electronic bands I've seen live have killed it
but a guy called MMOTHS has gotten support slots for two shows I've been going to (At The Drive In and The xx) and he is genuinely the worst live act I've ever seen
I like his music but it does not translate well to a live setting at all

chu you should buy a a special meat delicacy they have in new york
it is created by taking pieces of leavened white bread and interposing an extremely oblate steak hache spheroid or two, with rennet assisted lactose derived material cooked together
there can be circumjacent root tuber shreds fried in hydrocarbons at high temperature, with delicious sauces both sub- and superjacent to the spheroid itself

Fake nails for the strumming hand freak me out.
Justin Sandercoe has them in his videos and it's like nooooo. Fake nails on one hand, super short nails on the other so you can make the chords. Craymo.
The problem with horse meat isn't the taste, the problem with horse meat is that horses have soul (and I mean that in the funky fresh way, not the religious way). They are cool animals, that have a connection to humans. It's the same reason I don't eat dog, but do eat cows.
I may change my mind if I ever met a cow I thought was a cool cat.
Horses are cool animals
Cool animals that have bitten me on three separate occasions for trying to feed them oats.
Guess what Mr. Ed? I have a grill, motherfucker.
(not really eating horse would probably squick me out)
FYI, horse isn't that great. *shrug*

Didn't see it advertised at all prior to it popping up in my Netflix. Not anywhere. There's been no real talk of it besides word of mouth here, which usually bodes poorly.

That's such an awesome game.
It’s not a very important country most of the time

That was my initial connection as well.

I assume so.
Then I remember why he decided to end it
And think about some of the people I know who were huge fans of the show
And realize all over again that he was absolutely right
I'm auctioning off eight hours of customized programming education...so of course there is!

Robin Wright Penn is super hot (her firing decisions are going to come back to bite her!)
I love when Spacey talks to the camera

Was about to agree
Then the penny* dropped
Hah, I totally learned that one handed harmonic trick he does in that ages ago, then gave up because Andy McKee is not for emulating.
because the vocalist goes fucking nuts and the drummer is really good
but best of all
the female vocals are not female
they are the drummer
he has the girliest voice and it is incredible

Dammit man I was writing a whiny post about my parents and then I thought of you
Now I feel like a petulant baby again
I was going to agree with this but I'm not really into cross dressing

How's that name treat you?
That's a solid-ass name.
I love George Takei. So much.
