I'd love for mike and/or jerry to post on this.
Since i've started to re-re-rewatch PAtv. I continue to love the stories of men and women whose lives have been enriched and literally saved by the power of humor at just the right moment.
I am one such person.

Several years ago, due to a person who can only be described as a careless [expletive deleted]. Two of my friends were killed in a house fire caused by a discarded cigarette tossed onto their porch. I would also like to point out that one of these friends, who suffers from asthma rushed into the spare bedrooms to ensure the children were already out and safe.
This event was shocking and quite life changing.
For weeks after this, I was spiraling wildly through the phases of grieving/unhealthy madness that many people experience after such a traumatic event.

Once i had decided to do something other then cry/scream/lay around aimlessly. I found myself drawn to penny arcade.
Like many others, i've needed a laugh, and some fun during tough times, and penny arcade was there for me.
The site may not be a friend, family member, or stranger offering a hug. But it was there for me.

Mike Krahulik. Jerry Holkins. Tell your kids to make you capes. Because you're superheroes, you save lives. Are worshiped by the general public and are held up in the realm of demigods in the eyes of those you've helped.

To anyone who reads this and has a means of forwarding this to our two favorite gaming saints. Please do your very best to have them view this. Thank you.

Mike and Jerry don't read the forums, but you can email them by clicking on their avatars on the main page

Jerry: I don't think that making people happy with a funny comic is somehow...lowbrow. It's incredibly valuable.
I wrote this down a while ago but I can't find the source, so it's probably from a video.

Yeah, it was folly to assume for one second they would read the forums. And for some reason i feel as if i'd be wasting their valuable time to email them about how awesome they are.

I don't think people ever get bored of receiving those kinds of emails.

Bored, no i doubt it. But i don't feel i have the writing skills to accurately tell them how awesome they are in a original, inspired manner.

  • Blake TBlake T Do you have enemies then? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.Registered User regular
    Well.

You could always copy and paste what you just wrote?

  • NathanBrookesNathanBrookes Registered User regular
I could, but it was intended to be something they would read while wandering around the forums, of course, this was while i was under my brief delusion that they would actually browse the forums.
Now it shall be a rant for fellow fans to read and appreciate another persons love and respect of these artists.

I will labor under the totally false belief that if we continue giving mike and jerry worship and admiration, that they will somehow live forever and be granted boons by the universe as a reward.

Nah dude, go ahead and email them what you wrote there. It doesn't have to be profound or fancy or anything. They will appreciate the sentiment even if you don't have the greatest of faith in your writing skills.
