    I've seen requests to translate something into Latin pop up quite a few times over the years and in multiple places and most of the translations which were given were blatantly wrong.

    If it's for a tattoo, I would suggest taking your request to a university's Latin department.

    Translating idioms is a bitch and a half. also, your phrase contains two words that are practically synonyms (power/command)

    It's pretty much guaranteed to sound silly

    Yes. While it's been years since I studied any Latin, I can absolutely confirm that the issue of synonyms is not to be taken lightly. English is a ridiculously rich language with many, many words that mean similar-but-different things. Latin is not at all so subtly varied. In Latin, many of the same exact words will be appropriated for completely different purposes and contexts. What this means is that without context, as in, on a person's skin, shit can get really nonsensical really fast. And while I haven't actually retained any vocabulary, I would be shocked if there's a straightforward way to distinguist "command" (as a noun) from "power." That is just asking for trouble.
