Anything other than FRAPS?

Would like help and see if anything else besides FRAPS could be used for video making and such, since I cannot use it at al for some reason, it slows down the DVD I am playing and such. In fact, it doesn't even bother letting me play anything back once I record it

I hope this is not something against the rules to ask, but would like to know if there is something other than this program to try even if it is a trial, thanks.

A second computer with a TV tuner and S-Video, Composite Source connectors. You basically could use a TV out video card on the gaming machine and connect that to the recording machine.

    Piece of cake.

I dunno, you'd probably pick channel 3 for recording when what you needed was channel 4.

For gameplay I suggest playclaw. More options than fraps, less of a resource hog.

What on Earth are you talking about?, Jesus man, I have done this before with incredible quality. You just need to select S-Video or composite depending the connection between both machines.

I'll second that, also has a neat feature that lets you record at a specified fps while still playing games at whatever fps you have in game
