Hi all,
I've got your tournament list here for your perusal!
Ask questions if you've got them!
Signups are day-of only. Please be present if you'd like to signup. Signup lists will be open at the start of each day.
Dates and times will be on the main schedule when it becomes available.
For Brawl and the fighters, I'd recommend you bring personal controllers*. We'll have some on hand, enough for everyone, but they're....well used.
*Standard controllers: Arcade/fight sticks, GameCube controllers, etc. If you've got something custom or uncommon, please ask first.

I'm really tempted to do DBZ Budokai and Brawl... but the last time I tried Brawl it ended (well, technically started) as a fucking nightmare.

Can we use custom (painted) controllers with no mods (basically oem)?
I would assume so, but no harm in asking.
Yup, that's just fine. Unless it's magic paint...then no.
Each match could last as little as 10-15 seconds. It's no fun playing a tournament only to be eliminated in the first 15 seconds.
While it hasn't been posted yet, I can tell you that the Brawl tournament is on Friday. The Brawl tourney will be stock. There are no age limits on any of these tourneys...they're for everyone!
And prizes? Or just bragging rights?

PAX will always be held on the best weekend for PAX. Sometimes that will be a bad weekend for you; I'm sorry.

Your best bet is to show up around 10. Last year there was a short line at 10, because the BCEC doors seem to be open before 10.
The tourneys are in two rooms. I'd ask that you don't sign up for overlapping tourneys, since it's historically been very difficult to keep track of the people that are in both. As a general rule, tourneys that start within an hour of each other are overlapping.
Yes, there have been unpublished tournaments each year in CCFP. It's worth checking out if you haven't before! I think if you follow @pax_tourney you'll get updates for all of the tournaments. We will also try to post to that feed with news on tourneys that are full, or still have spots.

There are no plans for banned chars in any of the fighters.
(1) Is the tournament going to be two out of three games to a match, two out of three matches to an elimination, and two hours of time allotted for the tournament? Last year we hand single matches, winner takes all, and we got booted from the room after only an hour.
(2) (slightly off topic) If some Puzzle Bobble players wanted to put together a meet-up to play more later that weekend, what kind of support could we get? Puzzle Bobble XBLA loaded on a console or two in the free play area (not the console tournament enforcers' responsibility)? A flyer in the tournament room where people could sign up and commit to being in a certain place at a certain time (doable?)?
