IOS Game Center issue + Net10 Phone

Howdy, so, I have an iPhone 3GS that won't sign into game center. When it pops up during a game, it'll hang, consistently loading via the little spinning wheel. it doesn't error out or what not, just spins and spins and spins for hours. I also can't cancel out of game center when it pops up either.

The same loading issue happens when I load GC from the actual GC app. I'm thinking this is because my phone has Net10 as my provider, and Apple doesn't like the cut of their Jib, but I was curious if anyone had any ideas I could try - it's kind of a pain to be limited to only non-game center games on my phone.
