Anyone have a suggestion of a good 2TB external that matches the Deluxe well?
I use a WD Elements SE Portable 1 TB USB 3.0 drive. It matches the black of the Wii nicely. I don't recommend it though because I had to buy a "Y" cable because it draws more power than the Wii U allows from 1 port.
Whatever you get, make sure it has its own AC adapter.
Yeah, you get a hefty point bonus for jumping over them too. Then the character at the checkpoints runs after you like "Woah woah! WTF are you doing you dumbfuck?! Don't bypass my goddamn checkpoints!"
Then you mis-time a jump just before the finish line... for the fifth time and you have to keep telling yourself not to break this expensive gamepad.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

This has been my life for the last few days.
Although I admit recently I have stopped jumping over the checkmark, at least on a first play through of the level. I get too angry when the above happens.
Speaking of Runner 2, How do you get Perfect++ and Perfect+++'s in levels? What more can you do besides avoiding the checkpoint and collecting all the gold/key/chests?

Also, what is the difference between the exclamation mark by itself and one with an X on it when you complete a level?

Srsly. I wish they'd add Pro Controller support so if I happen to chuck the controller across the room it's more easily replaceable.
Man, ever since I finished Xenoblade Chronicles I just can't get into my Wii U. My wife and I are enjoying the new Mario, but we're not loving Last Story all that much, and there really aren't any Wii U releases that are up our alley for a while. I was stoked for Monster Hunter(never played one) until I saw the demo, then now I'm not sure if the game will really be something I like.

You shouldn't completely judge Monster Hunter based on the demo, but it's kind of hard to recommend if you're not already interested.
You should look into Lego City or Need for Speed probably.

I'm ending my relationship with Xbox Live and am thinking about making Wii U my next Zen Pinball platform of choice, since the PC version is glued to Windows 8. Is there anything special about the Wii U version?

Yeah, I think Monster Hunter is one of those where i think the concept is cool, but the actual playing of the game would probably lose me pretty quickly. I'm not interested in either of those two games though. Honestly, I only bought a Wii U because I already knew I'd be playing Xenoblade Chronicles on it(I was already playing it on my Wii), and I bought the Wii U for the new Xenoblade game, Wind Waker HD, and future Zelda games more or less. Plus the gamepad and all that is just cool. It's a very cool system, I just wish I was more pumped for Monster Hunter having actually seen the game now, since it was one of the reasons i wanted the system.
For people who do like MH, how would you describe the combat? From what I saw of the demo, it doesn't seem the combat has very good feedback and animation if that makes sense. I wonder if it'd feel different in the actual game though. I thought it'd be more like Dark Souls, but having no health bars for the enemies, it seems it would be hard to gauge whether you're using the right weapons, or fighting the enemies the right way.

Wait, the way it sounds you didn't own a Wii...did you own a Wii prior to the Wii U?
If not, there's a metric fuckton of games you should check out.
So my wife told me I could only get one game last week (debt, child coming, other excuses) but my roommate said he'd buy one so we get a free one... Here's the thing though I'm just not sure which two I want.
Lego City is a given at this point. Now it's a toss up between Monster Hunder and Need for Speed............. Maybe I'll just sleep on the couch for a week and get all 3.

I'm getting worried. Targets website says that MH isn't available in stores. They wouldn't do that...right?

I did, though I never really bought many games for it.

I may have to check out some more of the Wii catalogue. I just have very specific gaming tastes at any given moment, and most of it never appealed to me.

There's a good deal of variety in the Wii line up. Either Zelda is good. Okami. Donkey Kong Country Returns. Punchout. Sin & Punishment. Both Mario Galaxy games. Zack and Wiki. Madworld. Kirby's Epic Yarn.
And the Virtual Console is great, but it's probably better to wait for the Wii U incarnation.
I've got a bit of backlog to get through myself with Muramasa, Little King Story and the rest of The Last Story.

I am so glad that I didn't invest too heavily in the 360 Pinball FX2. I wanted to.. but I refused to give my CC to Microsoft after my account was hacked. So now I get this on a system I prefer by a long shot.

Well, assuming it uses the shoulder buttons as flippers, the large size of the gamepad kind of mimics an actual pinball table
