I got in late on Payday 1 (got it free in PC gamer) so never played much.
What I did play however was fantastically well made and one of the few 'modern' styled FPS's to really get me pumped. Needless to say I'm looking forwards to this.

Played the hell out of the original, plan to pick this up day one. I am addicted to Crime stuff and these games have scratched so many itches of mine.
We also have an official PA Payday Group for the purpose of gathering likeminded and itchy trigger finger'd individuals. I imagine it will be getting a bit of a workout again this summer as Payday 2 approaches.
Looks pretty cool, still HL2 engine it seems?
I liked almost everything about the first except that the enemies were a bit static, which tended to turn it into a shooting gallery. Almost never were any of the mooks a threat, only a few of the specials were dangerous, or if an event clogged a hallway so bad that it was hard to pass before getting shot.
Really looking forward to this one. I always had a ton of fun robbing banks with everyone here. I need to start playing it again since I got the dlc a while ago and need to level up that new class.

There's a spot in the saferoom level where you could massacre then as they crossed the street.
I loved jumping from roof to railing in that level and saving time.
Really happy for the mastermind class.
Will never understand why more people don't go over the side onto the fire escape in Saferoom. Sure you take some fall damage if you don't do it right but even still it's the Bette option.
$30 bucks doesn't bother me to bad especially since its only $10 more than the first was and you get some pretty decent stuff with the preorder.
Not sure I'm sold on the $50 version though. The only two things I'm interested in in that pack are the beta access and the store discount, but without any context on how much that discount may be and the price of things in the store it's not jumping out at me as worth $20 more.

People really don't like taking advice in team shooters. :S
Especially if it had a four pack. However considering I can buy a four pack of Sanctum 2 or Rising Storm to play with friends for the price of one copy it's kinda priced itself out of my interest.
EDIT: I lie, it's a tenner more for a four pack of Sanctum 2.
I don't think it's absolutely OTT, just like I said there's several other shooters coming out/out that cost about a whole tenner less for me. That and it's a pretty decent bump up from the original's price.

Not to be dumb, but what's weird about 50 dollars for the collector's edition?
Because the game itself is only 30, so the collectors edition is 66% more for what amounts to not a whole lot of extra stuff as far as collectors editions go

Wait, it's only 30 dollars for you?
Lemme just check something quick...
Yeah, the cost in pounds adds about 8 dollars onto what you have to pay. Which is fairly lame.
Yeah it's not so much the price for me ,as an extra $20 is pretty much standard fare for collectors editions, as it is the vaugery of what the beta and store discount actually is vs the extra money spent.
As it is all the good stuff is on the preorder itself which I will say is very nice.

Hrm, fair enough. The only CE I'm familiar with (but never got) are the WoW ones and even then I guess they now have standard, digital, and 'true' CE editions. That being said, IIRC, the digital deluxe edition is 20 bucks more than the 40 dollar base and I don't recall what the CE one was.
the 4 packs make it out to $22.50 per person for the Standard Edition and $37.25 per person for the CC edition.
Also reading the steam forums makes it sound like the game was mistakenly more expensive in the UK (all of Europe?) for a day or so but has been fixed.
If it was unintentionally more expensive it hasn't changed for me here. Still £25 for a copy and £30 for CC edition (which puts it as rivaling a triple A's price).
I do hope it goes down though. I want in on this, just with Rising Storm and Sanctum 2 both being cheaper and interesting it's hard to justify.

Nope, thats the correct price, apparently the CC edition was £40 for a while yesterday.
Also weird UK price bullshit and CC edition aside, not sure why everyones bitching about $30, IIRC thats what the first game cost when it was first released (and was $20 within a couple of months).

Need to play more of this but it feels like it's missing something when played with PUGs.
Also I need people to cover up for the fact that a year straight of MOBAs has left my aim somewhere in the vast bottomless pit of suck.

Holy shit I need more friends on PS3. This game is GLORIOUS.

I write sentences like this when I'm on the verge of passing out. I'm kind of shocked there isn't a four-pack, though.

Then I scrolled up and looked at the price and laughed and laughed and laughed.
I'll buy buying the regular version eventually.
