ESPN is broadcasting the game, whether or not it will show much of the opening ceremony is a different question.

Here's the first link I found that has a table of channels/times for the WC (it's in eastern time, so do the math accordingly):

I know ESPN2 has a pre-match thing on at 2:30 or so, then ESPN picks up broadcast at 3:00, and kickoff isn't until 3:30. (All times CST)

Just checked. It's on ESPN starting at 3:30 pm EST.

While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.

Fabregas has confirmed that he has signed for Chelsea. Arsenal turned down their first option.

Easily title favorites in my mind, though depending on what other top teams do in the market. They do the best business though. Know who they want and what they need, then go out and get it all wrapped up quickly.

Is it a popular candy bar in England or something? Help you watch a soccer match? I'm just mystified at the significance?

Three Lions is a popular nickname for the English team due to their crest.

And now I'm singing, Three lions on a shirt,
    Jules Rimet still gleaming,
    No more years of hurt,
    No more need for dreaming.

According to Watch ESPN it's at 2 pm EST on ESPN 3. The first game starts at 3:30 (or at least the coverage)

I keep going back on forth on mine, specially with England.

Where England finishes was a brief concern of mine, but I'm sure they are going through. USA was the bigger question mark for me, and the one that will likely break my bracket

I'm pretty confident England are gonna be third in their group.

I'm leaning towards second, but fuck they could even slip up against Costa Rica.

My bracket, at least for the first round:

    Group A: Brazil and Mexico
    Group B:Spain and Chile
    Group C: Columbia and Greece
    Group D: Italy and Uruguay
    Group E: Switzerland and Ecuador
    Group F: Argentina and Bosnia
    Group G: Germany and USA
    Group H: Belgium and Russia.

It can get broken it soooo many ways but I think that's going to be it.

You never know maybe the US bought the world cup. I mean if you can buy the location, why couldn't you in theory just buy the actual victory?

Oh yeah, this is still my favorite thing about Mexico this year:

These Human Soccer Balls Are Terrifying

And Pitbull showed up dressed as a dad at Disneyland. Brasil jersey tucked into white capris worn very high-waisted. I'm still laughing about it

I couldn't stream or anything, or watch anything other than the main channel for the past hour, so I missed it. Great. I hope the people enjoyed their golf.
