Avatars no longer displaying correctly

A few hours ago, some avatar icons stopped displaying properly, replaced with a broken image link icon. My own avatar is gone too, now. I have no idea what's letting the remaining ones show up, but it appears to be getting progressively worse, with more and more avatars joining the list of ones that don't display. Perhaps that's just Chrome's cache saving some of them?

@Pharezon says he's been seeing it for a couple days now.

Strangely enough the avatars seem to work now, which is why I came to check in here because I figured that maybe Icy worked his majick.

yes, it does nothing.

It's changed, though, now the broken links have a really shittily compressed .gif image that says "403 Forbidden This file removed due to violation of ImageShack Terms of Service or by user request", including yours, Spoit.

Although it appears to be fewer avatars than before, like one fifth of avatars rather than four fifths like it was three days ago.

I use Chrome and it's still happening.
