Its Finding Dory, y'all! The sequel to Finding Nemo! Ellen Degeneres signed up! Andrew Stanton to direct! Coming November 2015! Dang, thats a long ways away. But whatevs, Finding Nemo remains my favorite Pixar film, followed by Monsters Inc. Whats yours?
you guys remember when Pixar were bastions of originality who could always be counted on to deliver new and exciting IP
good times
Yeah, imagine that. A new studio making films about new properties, and that same studio later when it's established and has it's own properties, makes sequels of the really successful ones. God, what's this fucking world coming to?

I'm conflicted about Monsters University.
Monsters Inc is my favorite, but a Monsters movie without Boo will just make me sad.

Sequels don't have to be souless cash-ins, you know
The creators of a project can have just as much fondness for the characters they've created as their audience, and may be wanting to go back and revisit them just as much as anyone.
So while I can certainly understand sequel fatigue, Pixar certainly deserves more benefit of the doubt than most in this.
this right here is prob going to get me yelled at but here it is
this image right here alone makes me not want to see monster u because i dont like seeing heroic/kind pasts of villains in prequels/flashbacks
corruption of good people always makes me realllllllly sad
I'm curious as to what you see in that that reads as heroic or kind.
It reads to me like the traditional ass-kissing nerdy prep character that you see in a lot of college movies. It may be the grin, or the way he's holding his hands, but he doesn't look like a hero of the film. Only thing he's missing is a tie/sweater vest combo to really sell it.
The croods was good? Huh. The previews made it look more like it was leaning more towards happily never after/shrek sequels territory than how to train your dragon/cloudy with a chance of meatballs

good times
Of their 13 currently released films, three are sequels
By the time this is released, that'll be five out of 17
And the next one after that is an original (and sounds awesome)

Where the kid makes a subterranean vehicle and fights mole men or something.
It's just a cut of the first ten minutes of Up.

it's actually a crossover with The Incredibles, where they team up to take on the Underminer
The first ten minutes are really uplifting then the rest is just depressing as all hell.
If this is the case (gonna have to see the movie to be sure), that would be a bummer, I liked Randall as just a smug, overconfident jerk.
well
