Gaming Laptop Table for the couch

precisionkprecisionk Registered User regular
So I built this magnificent gaming desktop computer before my wife had our son, thinking I would have time to be in that room. So much for that ideas as I am more often then not in our compute room and rather in the family room and on the couch. I currently have a simple laptop table that can barely fit my 17in laptop and has little room for the mouse. I am looking for a table that can swing over the side of the couch that can fit said laptop along with room for the mouse. I have looked around quite a bit and there doesn't seem anything out that fits both of those criteria. Anyone have any suggestions?

TL;DR: Need laptop table recommendations for the couch

I got a lot of mileage out of the Table Mate 2, but I don't know if it'd fit a laptop of 17 inches. It worked fine for my 15 inch laptop?

I got an airdesk. I have a 17in (mx17 r1) so I got the large holder, an extra base weight, nose arm/ pad and a coffee holder. It works for me but I felt it was slightly overpriced for what you get, it's essentially aluminum tubes, plastic screws/clamps and plexiglass aside from the iron base. However I couldn't find anything better and it does get the job done.
