Oh Shit! Obscure Character: The Hood

I really dug Brian K. Vaughn's The Hood MAX miniseries, and I'm looking forward to how the character has been picked up by Bendis as a major threat to the Kingpin.

Basically, it's the story of a Z-List villain being born, and I really dug it. Thoughts?

He's going to be a major villain in New Avengers over the next year or so. Major as in a super powered kingpin who takes advantage of the power vacuum the CW left.

After reading War Crimes I can't help but think Kingpin will have something to do with his rise to power in said vacuum.

That miniseries was glorious just based on the fact it gave us the best merc villian team combo:
Constrictor + Shocker + Jack o' Lantern.

Tri-cool, all playing poker and actually WORKING as a team.

Red or Alive

Actually, he was in the superb Beyond! miniseries a scant few moths ago.

Pick that up.

It did end up being all put together by the Stranger as an experiment on Earth beings, and he's at least cosmic.
