I fully agree. Just give me more, bigger, and with the same wacky style and music.

But for the love of god, Square, please give me a good Chrono Trigger sequel or even a Sidequest, I don't care. Just continue the saga dammit.

For that matter a Jet Set MMO would be interesting.

A Mechwarrior Mercenaries MMO that borrows heavily from Eve Online (as far as galactic control goes).

This is something I have never thought of till now, and it seems like something so natural, it's almost criminal it doesn't exist.

Instead of corporations you'd have player made Clans that war with each other for control of planets and systems. I'd say let players also play Inner Sphere, but I don't know how you'd handle that side of things. Maybe have player created Houses.

Have space combat where attacking players have to defend their dropships, then have the action on the ground. Have players specialize in one but be passable in the other.

    Why hasn't this been made?

My theory is Mechassault. It is the bane of my giant stompy robot loving existence. Not that I didn't find it enjoyable. It's just that I find earlier installments of the Mechwarrior IP more enjoyable.

Also I was thinking along the lines of the Inner Sphere would exist but the vast majority of it would be controlled by the various Houses.

When you start you'd choose between being a clanner or an Inner Sphere merc.

Merc companies that were extremely well established could own worlds in the Inner Sphere but they would be extremely expensive and never be top quality planets as the houses already own all the good planets. The trade off for the price being much higher security area for a home base. In addition to warfare between rival merc groups they could be hired by various houses to assist in the ongoing interhouse warfare or to help defend the outer rim of the Inner Sphere against the Clans.

I'm not really sure how the clan aspect would work. I'm not really informed enough on the clans to think of anything at this point.

I'd also be all for incorperating all the aspects of the Battletech universe. Tanks, aircraft even infantry. Mechs would be the backbone of any assault or defense, but vehicles would be there for support (and vastly cheaper to employ) and you'd still need infantry to take bases on worlds in order to claim them as your own.

For this to work though I think you'd need a very large user base which I doubt a Mechwarrior MMO would be able to achieve :(

MidWinter III but with landscape graphics like Just Cause on the 360. That was what my imagination saw when I played the fuck out of MidWinter II way back when. And David Braben needs to pull his head out of his ass and make Elite 4.

So, yeah. MidWinter III and Elite 4. I'd probably never see daylight again.

Also, a Warhammer fantasy RPG, with Genevieve Dieudonné in there somewhere (a major NPC would be fine).

My favourite thing about Halo 2 online was defending the base in assault. My favourite part of Resident Evil 4 was defending the two wooden shacks from hordes of zombies. I would LOVE to see a game that has this sort of thing as its central gameplay mechanic. You get some sort of structure, let's rip off RE4 and say the first level is a simple suburban house. First thing you have to do is fortify your house in a makeshift sort of way, as best you can. So, maybe you push the sofa in front of the door, board up the windows, set booby traps (like Home Alone with Half-Life 2 physics and loads of vicious options). After a bit, wave after wave after wave of enemies come at you, from all sides. You have to hold them off as best you can with your makeshift defenses and weapons. There could be any number of settings, defending walled cities, beaches, castles, whatever. I just love that desperate feeling you get in RE4 as more and more zombies keep coming, you can slow them down with barricades, you can retreat to the upper level, but eventually they will overwhelm you. Basically that section expanded to a full length game, with much more defensive options. And what the hell, let's throw in online/splitscreen multiplayer, where you cover eachother's backs :)

I'd also like to see a deeper tennis game on Wii, one where you can move. I'm thinking Topspin, but with motion controls... I guess you'd need a wireless nunchuk to move/direct your shots, leaving your other arm to swing wild and free.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 please.

A Wii sword-fighting game. Not necessarily super realistic or 1:1, just something that reads my swing with more accuracy than Zelda and lets me make a variety of combos. Ideally I'd like to be exhausted after a session playing it. No More Heroes looks like it might be the kind of thing I mean :)

Titan Legions - 360/PC - This is an online group multiplayer game set in the 40K universe where you play various crew roles aboard an imperial, eldar, ork or chaos titan. Everything is in first person so you run and move about inside the Titan, except when you interface with various MIU (mind impulse unit) controls for weaponry or movement command. You could take charge of engineering teams, repair damaged systems, run loading decks, pilot the titan as the princeps and so forth. Engineering problems would be puzzle based, requiring you to do things like reconnect random pipes to allow current to flow, match symbols etc. You could also issue orders to accompanying forces such as tanks, planes and infantry divisions. Everyone would need to work together to defeat the opposing forces in this combination FPS/RTS/mech/puzzle game.

It would probobly take 16 people to pilot a titan perfectly, however if people werent available the AI could fill in. Roles would be decided at the start of the battle, and the game woud log your performance in each position so people could do the jobs they were best at.

The different sides titans would pilot very differently, Ork gargants would be very resilient but primitive. Youd pilot them by setting a course and then leaning out a window to look where you were going, or you could have someone else call back to you to tell you what to do. Eldar titans would be fragile, but agile with advanced interfaces. Imperial and Chaos titans would be somewhere inbetween, with chaos titans being a bit better up close and Imperial titans better at range.

Superheroism - Its GTA but you make a superhero/villain. Create a hero, design his background and powers and the world is your oyster. Save the world and fight the despicable Order of Doom, or join with them and loot the city for wealth. A vast array of different powers is available, from the normal (strength, laser eyes, flight etc) to the absurd (change into a giraffe, prehensile tongue attacks, changeable skin colour, invisibility to people named Steve). People in the city would remember your actions and respond accordingly. Youd have to keep your identity secret though, if you wanted your family to be safe.

The overall goal would be to become the most reknowned/feared superhero in the whole world. And yes, multiple cities over a huge area would be in the game. Im thinking at least 4 times as big as the world in GTA:SA. Also, if you destroyed sections of a city it would take time to rebuild and if you smashed it up enough the city and area might become poor as the economy started to collapse. IE everything responds to your actions. You can be the insane villain and destroy everything, but if you want to be a kingpin type you will need to pick your targets carefully. Superheroes espescially must try to protect the city. Noone will thank you if you foil a bank robbery by blowing up a skyscraper.

You can also recruit gangs, or join super teams. Heroes and villains you create and play in other games will show up in your current game as potential allies or foes. So if you create MundoMan, the justice avenger, and then later play a new game as Captain Stab-In-The-Eye MundoMan will show up to try and thwart your evil schemes once you are about as powerful as him.

There are also extensive options for creating Evil Schemes and Nefarious Deeds. A separate editor would allow you to create various bank robberies and Giant Robot creating plots etc which would be added into your game as challenges at the appropriate level.

Elements of Spore could be introduced, heroes, villains and plot lines could all be uploaded and shared from a central server so that no game world would ever be exactly the same.

I might be wrong, but isn't that what City of Heroes/City of Villans is?

CoH/V being an online game is obliged to spend most of its time worrying about class balance and rewards etc. Superheroism being an offline game with mutually shared and created content is all about having fun and being a superhero. MundoMan with his super strength and agility can be vastly more powerful than say, the incredible Hue altering man with his power to change the colours of anything he touches but you can be either and the game will adapt the challenges you face to help you out.

As MundoMan youd have to fight the giant dragon of doom, as Hue Altering Guy you'd solve muggings and stuff. The giant dragon of doom might still be in the game, but the AI heroes would deal with it. Perhaps you'd help but since its all about fun and doing what you want that doesnt matter.

Also you dont have to put up with other people, not every game needs to be online. Although this game would have coop if you want it.

In addition the nefarious schemes and plots creation bit would mean you would always have new challenges and storylines to follow rather than having to wait for official packs.

Right now, I really want a well done Evil Dead game on the Wii as a third person action beat-em-up where you simultaneously used the nunchuck gestures to wield the chainsaw and the Wiimote to target and blast with the shotgun - with a robust and responsive combat sysytem, of course.

Give me that game with the over the top cheesy humor, waves of not-quite-dead beasties and she-bitches, the various locales from the movies, and boss fights with your own severed hand, a posessed stuffed dear skull, and about a dozen mini-mes and I will buy it and play the loving shit out of it.

Fuck, that would be all kinds of awesome. I'd imagine trying to balance a game like that would be a complete nightmare though--having players running discrete parts of a titan versus controlling an entire titan, and then balance out the titans overall, along with the player roles... that'd be hard to hammer out. But I'd be all over a game like that.

Re: X-Wing/TIE Fighter. YES. But we need a full-on Imperial Navy vs. Rebel Fleet game... something that would encompass amazing dogfights as well as large-scale flag ship tactics and combat. The bulk of each team would be made up of pilots flying fighters, but 1 (or a small number) of players would play an admiral (or captains) running the big ships or managing the overall fleet resources.

Also, Phantom Dust 2. I'd do anything including flying to Japan and servicing Yukio Futatsugi's every whim until he's satisfied enough to make a sequel. Being so close to him I'd make sure there are three times as many skills, twice the maps, better AI, and more destructible environments. AND A GOD DAMN MISSION SCREEN SHOWING WHO YOU HAVE TO TALK TO INITIATE A MISSION! I don't want to write another walkthrough but if I had to I would. That's all I can think of on the top of my head so I'll stop there but I could write a novel on what would make a PD sequel great.

If we're falling into the realms of complete fantasty here, I'd want to see a sprawling RPG in a high-future metropolis-type-place. As in, Oblivion and the GTA series have nothing on this imaginary game's scale and detail.

Togglable third person/first person camera, stat based melee and gun combat (but not in the Deus Ex or V:TM:BL sense that you can't hit anything at low levels, just that at high levels you do crazy impossible Matrix-esque finesse shit). Seeing Source produce games as varied as Half-Life 2, Dark Messiah and the Vampire title got me thinking about combining them, heh.

Oh, and vehicles, and a stealth/hacking system that isn't tacked on. Think having to have a suitably high skill to, say, open up someone else's car or home- you can't just open up some van you find parked on the street.

And throw in lots of voice acting and sidequests and (optional, damn it) team mates so its not purely a sandbox, and you're set.

*sigh* I'll give it another ten years...

I put this on another thread but two big things for me:

    1) a new zelda game where to finish your downed enemies you take your wiimote grab it with two hands, hold it so that it faces the ground and plunge it into the guys chest.

    2) A wii jedi game.......................

Saber as the wiimote, movement and force control with the chuck.

Fucking set the video cameras up in my house because i'll be the next star wars kid while playing that game.

Just picture you come up to a door in the game, you plunge your saber in the door and cut out an opening, then there are some enemies on the other side of the door so you hold the Z button and thrust your left hand out to force push them away.

I'm getting excited thinking of my own fake game.

    - A game based on the original Battle Royale movie. You'd start out on the island with one weapon, and you would go around the island avoiding danger zones, killing others and taking their weapons. Each student would have a different weapon and ability, be it agility, speed, whatever. Weapons would range from a baseball bat, a taser, to a grenade, binoculars, and a machine gun. These weapons eventually wear and tear, so you have to use them carefully. If your weapons run out, you'd be able to pick up sticks and rocks. You'd explore new areas of the island, meet up with people, go on missions, etc. It'd have the same kind of clock that Dead Rising had, so in three days, if you haven't killed everyone, you and everyone else dies.

Yes, except for the time limit part. Or at least there are ways like a sidequest or something that allows you play without a time limit.

    Titan Legions - 360/PC

Sold. Someone make this game now. I demand it. :^:

Fuck, that would be all kinds of awesome. I'd imagine trying to balance a game like that would be a complete nightmare though--having players running discrete parts of a titan versus controlling an entire titan, and then balance out the titans overall, along with the player roles... that'd be hard to hammer out. But I'd be all over a game like that.

Agreed, it'd be hell to balance, and you'd probably wind up with a complete douche as princeps like the vehicles in mp games of halo. I'd say streamline it with every player as a princeps, with maybe the option of getting someone else in the other seats, but it'd be hell to match - you'd have to find players who want to play as a Techpriest instead of the Princeps, which will be rare because everyone just wants to be a fucking Princeps and make with the stompy.

And throw in lots of voice acting

A technology I would like to see is voice synthesis that is fully customizable and indistinguishable from a human voice actor. It would suck for the voice actors, but I think it would improve games as a whole, especially the indie game scene.
