Alright and in this next scene all the animals have AIDS.
I got a little excited when I saw your ship.

Well, all purple over clothes.
She had different colored underwear, and I bought some in the middle of the game despite it never being visible. Because I love customization.
Everytime that people say a game like ME or Oblivion has a great character building system, or that a game with a good system but few appearance iptions has a bad customization system, I die a little inside. Fuck your pretty dolls. Character building is about stats, plain and simple.
When playing a new rpg board game or mmo, my first character is a flawed Red Shirt type. I learn the ropes, end up getting hella attached to my disposable character and end up playing him for way longer then I planned.

I play a lot of male and female characters. But I think you can tell by my sig which gender I prefer.
And not just because I'm staring at their backside for long periods of time, but because I play games like MMOs to roleplay characters I create and enjoy getting inside the head of a female character and reacting to stuff like misogyny from their perspective. They are also more fun to dress up when I DON'T HAVE STUPID FUCKING CHAINMAIL BIKINIS WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THAT TO ME GAME DEVS GIVE ME REASONABLE LOOKING ARMOR and when I have a nice dye system.
My Dreanei paladin and best WoW character, Corehealer (where I came up with the name) was female and looked great in all the latest tier gears, and I'll never forgive Blizzard for waiting until after I quit the game to introduce transmog to the game because I had so many good looks I could have revived on her to relive the glory days of BC and Wrath raiding.
Because I think they might have to rebuild Vanilla to make it happen.
Whatever they gotta do to Make It So.
That would be a bit handy.
If we're window shopping for Vanilla with Cream, I think it'd be neat to see a record of posts which YOU have agreed/awesomed rather than just things people have liked of yours.
But eh.
I don't care so much for your idea (<3), but mine is Important and should be Done.
Because scanning my notification list (which is always really long because I never check them) for the word "mentioned" is tedious.
#firstworldproblems
You know, you can just turn off notifications for people posting in your threads.
I learned that lesson on my first chat.
Because Jesus Table-Making Christ.
This makes sense. I just turned that off. I also turned on 'email me when people @ me,' so I'll see how that feels.
Going immediately from Spec Ops: The Line to SR3 induced maybe the most severe case of gaming whiplash I've ever had
"Oh huh what a thoughtful videogame meditation on man's inhumanity to man
Oh, time to start shooting cops"
Also I suck at making silly characters that aren't completely over the top so my SR3 bro was pretty lame.
I don't see how that last thing follows.
Mine was literally a girl with white hair and diamonds painted on her cheeks.
In like jeans and a purple hoodie, using a bandana as a sweatband.
Not exactly super crazy. But totally not lame.
I was going for a sort of...neo italian mobster look, like if you crossed a traditional italian made man's swagger with tokyo street fashion...but extremely subdued tokyo street fashion
I could never get it to work so in the end I gave him the sarcastic voice and some decently cool gang clothing
So he ended up...unintentionally generic
You could be anywhere

Wow. I wouldn't have thought so many people who play games would choose flash over gameplay.
Visuals are a facet of "gameplay?" I mean why bother having player models at all?
So the sims is a better simulator of a population in a world than dwarf fortress is?
Is The Sims maybe a better simulator of a small family unit dollhouse than Dwarf Fortress? Probably -- I'v never actually played Dwarf Fortress.
I'm also not taking this discussion particularly seriously, because I get the distinct impression I'm being trolled.
I am being completely sincere. I love building characters, but to me that means stats, feats, etc. I never spend any time customizing appearance beyond choosing a generic head and hair style. Modern appearance customization is way too detailed and feels like a chore to me. But the point I am making is that in an RPG, having a robust stat building system can be key to game play, yet people will say games like ME (which has an abysmal character system) is great for customization because you can adjust the nostril height independently or whatever.
I dunno I've enjoyed customizing stats and abilities and stuff but I never felt they made much of a difference. What games do you feel give you proper control of your character's abilities and provide you with hooks during the game in order to change how your character responds to a situation?

Eh, my :-\ wasn't a woe is me sorta thing, more a, "Wow, cliche about time..." and I get a buncha grief about babies and what not since I've been with my girl for a good while (on and off for as long as most people have known me, and not all know about our breakups, so they're surprised with where we're at and what not. I guess the big one for 30 for me is that my Dad and Mom would've had me where my GF and I'll be next year... Kinda bittersweet and irrational feelings surrounding that sorta thing with me. I dunno, but yea, life is awesome, and carpe diem and what not.

If the player can cause the events to branch 2 ways repeatedly, then the number of endings grows exponentially. 10 button presses and suddenly you have to create over a thousand outcomes.
Thousands of hot, local singles are waiting to play at bubbulon.com.
Visual only armor for mmos, or armor appearances that can be modded to use the appearance of another type of armor should be the standard.
Star wars tor almost had that, but people actually complained about it.
They said not having your appearance mandated by gear made them feel there wasn't enough "progression".
I made sure to note in my "why are you canceling your sub?" thingy that this decision had more impact on my not staying with the game than any single other thing.

Kinda depends on what you mean by gameplay
I dislike dealing with too many options in character creation, it feels bloated and unwieldy
I think that's most of the reason I can't really get into Baldur's Gate or other older WRPGs
I prefer things a bit more simple and streamlined, so Dragon Age, for example is a winner for me as far as video games go, or something like 4E D&D for tabletop
When it comes to gameplay my major thing I look for is how smoothly my dude controls, so Mass Effect 2/3 win out by a huge margin over the first because while there's more granularity in how I can build Shepard in ME1, it doesn't really count for much when in the second game I can just point and shoot and get results without needing to invest a bunch of points into mastering a given weapon

Would probably be best if the game's just keeping a tally of your "accomplishments" and running checks against the list, bringing up new sub-scenarios as they become relevant depending on what you did. I'm overthinking this surely, but now I've started figuring this out and I can't stop the train.

Fuck everyone who thinks those are good qualities in a game.
I hate level and gear grinds. I hate end-games. If the game itself isn't good enough to keep my attention and I have to work towards a reptitive 'end-game' what's the point.
This is my boss, when he was sporting the hideous spray tan which I sort of liked because it went so not-well with his hair. And the purple latex jacket and booty shorts, hugely important for murder sprees: the blood rinses right off.
Oh, and this is my Tera lancer with the aforementioned goofy ears

In TOR, with 2.0, gear is almost completely unlocked now. As long as the gear you like is moddable you can move the mods from your progession gear into any gear you want and even retain the set bonuses.
