The discussion about audio logs on the Bombcast is an interesting one, I enjoyed listening to them in Infinite but the concept needs to be looked at with a microscope.

You could also take the Sleeping Dogs HKPD files to the next level. Imagine if Watch Dogs' main character had subscriptions to news sites and anti The Man sites or whatever and at certain points in the story new opinion pieces and news reports and propaganda could be viewed to fill in background info, finding a mix between stuff relevant to your actions/cause and just general world-building stuff. Kinda like the Saint's Row news reports when you step into a car after a mission, except on your in-game phone whenever you want to look at it. And it doesn't have to be just audio, imagine a twitpic somebody took of a protest being shut down, or an ad tailored to the main character.
Fuck, now I can hazard a guess that that's not going to be in the game.
I did like that for at least the beginning of infinite, the types of audio logs lying around were recordings of sermons and the like, so it made a lot more sense than some random dude's thoughts.
I really enjoyed the HKPD files in Sleeping Dogs. Really having all that stuff essentially built into a smart phone display was smart.
Those files also weren't fact sheets, they were through the perspective of police reports or journalist articles. My favourite is the file which brings up Wei's alleged vigilante actions back in the US, because not only could it not prove that Wei had done those things, but it questioned earlier reports that he was emotionally fit for duty (that may have been from a separate report, but my point stands).

We worked out the audio problems and I think we've gotten a better handle on the whole "do funny voice overs during a video game" thing
