As someone who was not terribly offended by what I saw of the prequel comic, a good bit of what I'm seeing from the actual game seems like it is going further off the rails into "Who the fuck is writing this, do they even understand these characters?" territory. Which I am more apposed to than just the generally lazy half-handed stuff that was going on in the comic.
someone put all injustice's cutscenes up on youtube, stitched together with the fights taken out
it is just shy of two hours and virtually every second of it is awful
the parts that are not awful are the scant seconds when the colossal shrimp summoned by aquaman are onscreen

Hoo boy. I just finished sitting through the cut scenes from Injustice.
It was...something...alright. The story was fairly similar to the Justice Lords story arc from the JLA universe but not close to as good. To be honest, I think that adapting that as a fighting game would have been the better way to go. Have it done in the stylized fashion of the DCAU and it would sell itself, but that's just me, due to the fact that I found the visual styles of the Injustice characters in many cases to be pretty crappy.
As for Injustice, the writing was definitely more bad than good. Much more bad, but there were some points I didn't mind and even liked.
The Yellow Lantern/Superman scene has already been mentioned, but I liked the part where the alternate dimension Harley finally breaks away from the Joker's manipulative, abusive personality and tells him to essentially fuck himself. The reaction of the Joker with petulance and Luthor's response, ending with him telling Harley "you've outgrown him" was something that actually made me really like that dimension's Luthor.
I found the rest of the story to be mediocre, and the narrative was hampered by the fact that it's a fighting game, so the scenes always had to build to that instead of flowing naturally.
I didn't like the Captain Marvel death scene at all, though I understand where they were trying to go with it. As a side note, things were really inconsistent there because Marvel's strength, speed and durability are near a match for Superman. Coupled with all his other powers, Marvel shouldn't have been in that situation, even if they were trying to emphasize him as an innocent kid with the appropriate naiveté, who was corrupted by Superman.

Yeah that was one of my favorite scenes
And like I said earlier in the thread I liked the part where good Superman was just beating up everyone at the end, that was entertaining.

I'm confused, are we being mad that Evil Superman is doing evil things?
I mean, it's right there in his name.
Story spoilers
Being evil isn't the point, it's that brutally killing a child superhero is gross and plays into that stereotype about comics being weird and messed up. If any writer goes "Of course that's what would happen" then no, you were not forced to write something that sick.

Rumor, possibly confirmed by trailer, is that
This would be so great
I just want
They both slip and fall down a sand dune in Muspelheim and, in synchronicity, yell "WHOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Oh! Missed the confirmation

It's when Evil Superman
Dude do you realize what it's a photoshop of?
Hopefully we'll get a scene like this:
YES! THANK YOU! I posted that before and I was starting to worry that I was alone in thinking that bit was fucked up.

There was no question mark. I know what happened. It just sickens me.

That is a feat to be... reviled? Opposite of envied.
seriously, these are some stylin' dudes
superman/batman apocalypse is really bad
Why not give evil Superman some more powers? Why not also have him use a Reach Scarab and a Yellow Lantern Ring?

Did I um, see the abridged version or something?
