Hey job thread. 3 months ago today I had one part time job that was not giving me as many hours because the holiday season was over and there was not a need.

Now, I'm 1 day removed from 3 months with the school I work with (its stressful at times, but everyone has been really awesome, even if pains in the ass) and this week one of the girls at my part time job needed off the whole week so I am working 64 hours between both jobs. Thankfully, the part time job is pretty slow and easy and I get to sit down if I want.

The short version is I am in a better place now, employment wise. I now have to start being more frugal and save my money so I can do things like move into an apartment (the worst part about living in NY, on Long Island, is affording a goddamn apartment), getting my license finally (hopefully 4th time's a charm), and doing some other good in my personal life.

Maybe if I write down that I am going to do these things I will actually do them and stop being a lazy shit.

I am pretty happy about having a job you guys. I don't even care that it's minimum wage monkey work, or that my family seem dead set on making sure I'm not happy about it. It just does my brain good to be earning cash.

We are understaffed, though, so I've been doing 6 days a week for a couple weeks now. I'm tired.

I'm a mechanical engineer--freelance work is a little sparse from what I can see...

I'm currently in the process of applying for my visa so I can work in the US. The last time I did this I screwed it up and ended up spending a week as an illegal immigrant, so I'm trying to be very careful.
