I need help curing my forever alone syndrom.

Hi there!

I'm looking for a small group of people to hang out and play some video games with. I'm 15 years old, and I live in Norway. I mostly play on PC, but I own a PS3. I play games like Torchlight 2, Guild Wars 2 (Desolation EU), Minecraft (occasionally), Elder Scroll Online (when it's out), I played WoW and sometimes League of Legends. As you can see, I'm a huge fan of RPG's set in a medieval environment. I don't like shooters, although I can play them. Most of my gaming history I've been playing alone, but now I'm interested in playing in a group.

Probably your best bet would be to network in one of the MMOs you are actively playing. Join a Guild Wars 2 guild and get to know the members. Probably a solid way to network.

You might also want to head over to Games and Technology to find the threads for the games you are looking to play. Most of them have a roster of players in the OP for steam meetups and networking.

Find a Dungeons and Dragons or Pen and paper RPG group, much more satisfying group experience then playing these with other people. Not to mention you might see some real faces :) If I were in norway I might be able to point you to some local games shops but alas, I am not in the most likely superior northern country. Good luck on dat loneliness, its tough out there.

Also, get a therapist. Its always a good choice no matter how minor the problem.

A lot of those are pretty social games, but you can't be the passive person. If you like how someone plays while in a group with them, add them to your friends list. And then if you want to do a dungeon/group activity ask those people first before asking the general chats.

Also, have you tried tabletop roleplaying games or boardgames? I don't know how it is in Norway, but generally boardgame or tabletop stores have active communities.

A lot of those games have threads going on this forum that you can participate in.. check out the MMO subforum of G&T.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

Come join us at the League of Legends thread! Lots of nice people, vent, plenty of opportunity for socialization.

Yeah, while MMOs are great and the people in PA are generally a classy bunch, consider looking in to any local gaming stores. Its a good way to meet people and whether its an RPG like DnD or some board gaming, its almost always lots of fun.

Best of both worlds: see if there are any Critical Failure folks that live in your area.

Alternatively: not sure if obsidian portal is worldwide, but it does have a match making service for players and GMs.
