Lupus erythematosus is a name given to a collection of autoimmune diseases, in which the human immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissues.[1] Symptoms of these diseases can affect many different body systems, including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, heart, and lungs.
From a friend who has lupus, it's really just tons and tons of pain.
I had allergy issues for the first two weeks of this month. Just a thick cloud of pollen for days on end.
I started taking allergy medicine when the pollen really kicked off around here. Even so it hit me real bad when I went outside and swept a bunch of pollen off the patio furniture.
God dang pollen count of over 8000 ppm for a couple days straight
p.s. did you by any chance get a second package from me ever?
Shit yes I did just a few days ago, and I totally keep forgetting to say! Sorry, I am terrible. I even have the sticks right here I am looking at them now. They are beautiful and the card nearly made me cry. Sorry for being so ungrateful and rubbish.

My Grandmother had lupus, and my mom and uncle have it now. Apparently there is a genetic predisposition to it in our family.
Watching people go through a lupus flare-up is pretty freaking awful. My mom has described it as simultaneously hurting when you stay still and hurting when you move. Just basically constant pain-- from shifting around, from touching things or contact in general.
The steroids and painkillers all don't seem to do that great of a job too. Changes in personality, chance for addiction (my grandmother was an anesthesiologist who lost her doctor's license because she was doping up, possibly because of the intense pain from lupus), and the general ominous feeling that even though you aren't in pain, something very very bad is happening to your body.
That I will one day develop lupus is a super huge fear for me. Especially because there really isn't much I can do about it besides 'avoid stress'.
I'm not sure of the details, but somehow it has ended up causing problems with his digestive system bacteria due to the diet that he had to go on, so he's missing important gut flora.
He had to go for a a few sessions of getting the bacteria back into his system, in what he aptly referred to as "poo-transplants".

Also preeettyyy sure I am lactose intolerant. Considering drinking milk and eating cereal with a bunch of milk gives me stomach aches and I'm a constantly very gassy person. Also some other intestinal stuff that is probably just because I eat like shit.
But the milk probably isn't helping any... gonna.. gonna try not eating cheese or milk for a while which really sucks
because god dang if deli meats and cheeses on crackers isn't the food of the gods

Last Friday my allergies kicked in something fierce, bad enough that I went straight into a pretty nasty head cold. I think it's starting to pass, and should be gone by mid-week, but holy shit it sucks to have your nose turn into a mucus faucet that will not shut off

I have all the snots, super gross
Also people were cracking jokes earlier but some doctors do prescribe antibiotics when you have a virus because your weakened immune system can make you vulnerable to secondary bacterial infections
It's not always a good idea but it's not crazypants either

I don't think lupus is a thing you 'had'. More of a you 'have'. Or don't. Feel lucky if you don't.
My sister in law has Lupus right now.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
From a friend who has lupus, it's really just tons and tons of pain.
The worst part of the ones I had as a kid though is that it always started up around mid-March. My birthday is also around mid-March. So that sucked.
I'm sure it's just a minor case.

It's not lupus? Is that the right answer here?

Some people in our neighbourhood have gargantuan Mock Orange plants that waft a horrible odor when they flower, it's awful.
there's finally an episode where it comes down to lupus and house literally says "it's finally lupus"

I was never told I have allergies in any capacity but when we had the heavy pollen advisory in our weather reports I was fucking miserable.
It's sad, he died in Baltimore between shows and the only reason my friends and I found out he was nearby was the news of his death.
