    We do the check

    But JDark - wait till the others (except Greeper, I guess) played or passed before we decide if we want to try and pass.

    Players are undecided on going for it or not?

    I will pass.

    The only way we do that is if the cylons win!

    @jdarksun

  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
    Alrighty @jdarksun. One cylon contributed (probably treachery), and if you put in - Greeper will probably spike it. I can do pretty nice things for the check too so between us we can probably pass it. Your call to put in or not.

    Costly, but we did it. I guess we'll see if it was worth it.

    If this crisis isn't a jump - could lose it on Auralynx' turn anyway.

  • DoctorstrongbadDoctorstrongbad Registered User regular
    Fracking Sickbay again? Frack.

    Draw One Engineering.

  • DoctorstrongbadDoctorstrongbad Registered User regular
    I will move to the Research lab and draw Engineering.
    Humans need a jump, come on jump.

  • PhyphorPhyphor Building Planet Busters Tasting FruitRegistered User regular
    And that is game over, the cylons will win. The next crisis has no jump prep, but does activate basestars (one of the lose 2 resources or lose 2 resources ones), and since the next rolls are 8/8/1/5 it will hit

    The only way out was draw lea, then xo for a nuke, or maybe something with critical situation/double command then go attack the basestars

    Leoben reveals his agenda: cylon victory, 4 damage, 3 morale or less

    Cylon and Cylon Leader victory!

    Let me know what you thought of the game/format. Daybreak game will go up in 3-4 weeks (after my vacation!)

    Absent a lot of scouting, you would have needed 3 more jump cycles. However you would have had enough fuel - the next 8 destinations were

    Gas Giant - 1 - The Admiral may destroy 1 viper to gain 1 Fuel.
    Tylium Planet - 1 - Lose 1 Fuel. The Admiral may risk 1 Raptor to roll a die. If 3 or higher, gain 2 Fuel. Otherwise, destroy 1 Raptor.

    Cylon Refinery - 2 - Lose 1 Fuel. The Admiral may risk 2 Vipers to roll a die. If 6 or higher, gain 2 Fuel. Otherwise, damage 2 Vipers.
    Binary Star - 2 - Lose 1 Fuel. Place 1 Civilian Ship in front of Galactica and 1 Civilian Ship behind Galactica.

    Barren Planet - 2 - Lose 2 Fuel
    Ragnar Anchorage - 1 - The Admiral may repair up to 3 Vipers and 1 Raptor. These ships may be damaged or even destroyed.

    Barren Planet - 2 - Lose 2 Fuel
    Derelict Basestar - 2 - Lose 1 Fuel. Then place 2 civilian ships behind Galactica and 1 basestar in front of Galactica. Damage the basestar once.

    Tylium planet -> 4/4
    Cylon refinery -> 6/5
    Barren planet -> 8/3

    The actual jumps taken were
    Icy Moon x2 - 1 distance

    Dying Star - 2 Distance, Lose 1 Fuel and damage Galactica once.
    Asteroid Field - 3 Distance, Lose 2 Fuel. Then draw 1 Civilian Ship and destroy it (lose the resources on the back).

    I really thought that the human Admiral being forced to pick a 1 distance on the first jump would definitely cause Baltar to look at his loyalty, but he has: "You Are Not a Cylon: The Final Five: If This Card is Examined, Galactica is Damaged Twice" so that would have been bad all around.

    Brutal. BSG can be like that if you get two Cylons before the halfway point.

    Yeah. I knew there was another out there from pretty early on but I didn't realize it was Lee, so I was actually relatively restrained in my robo-trolling in an effort to let him get his ducks in a row before I gave myself away. Really, my favorite part of this game happens before the Cylons reveal, while we're all still accusing wildly and yammering at each other.

    I think that went pretty well from the Cylon end, honestly, and given the hole we put you in early on Morale you guys were doing a good job of coming back!

    I hadn't seen a damage win before either.

    Also towards the end, if I didn't have to write any code to handle something new, I could go through and do a turn in about a minute. A pretty good improvement from spreadsheet hosting I'd say

    Tayrun, we are experiencing a noticeable decrease in space-brohood. Something might need to be done.

    Yeah I'm sorry about that. :( I'm travelling at the moment and my phone just isn't okay with the TI game format.

    Having lurked in the game for a while, I was surprised how little the humans did to root out cylons. Oh well.

  • PhyphorPhyphor Building Planet Busters Tasting FruitRegistered User regular
    Cylon hunting is overrated!

  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
    Silence robo-Baltar!

  • PhyphorPhyphor Building Planet Busters Tasting FruitRegistered User regular
    Well you guys didn't do any "hunting," I revealed myself - nobody else had any eng except you and the one lee had

  • KaneskiKaneski Registered User regular
    Agreed, I'm just a little surprised how much effort it took to convince the others. Hell, being Cylon Leader meant I had to go "yeah, give him a chance guys..." because a CL asking for executions is morale drainer.

    Also - Cylon hunting without a spike is just... looking at loyalty.

    Well, there's a bit more to it than just that... look at what happened to poor Hoshi! Killed for wanting an extra card. Though what I did wasn't a "spike" so much as a "hey here I am" - a pol or lea negative would have been a spike

    Actually I can't recall any specific instances of sabotage, just not helping as much as they could
