New LED TV with blue "cloud" in the middle

Just got a new Samsung LED TV and there is a blue "cloud" (for lack of a better term, just a good sized, irregularly shaped area) towards the center of the screen which is almost always blue. It throws off blacks, other blues, greys, etc. Some colors seem to correct it or at least are bright enough that you don't notice it - reds, maybe whites? It seems like I saw it tinting some white blue-ish during a tv show last night, but the big, bright white "ROKU" on the Roku screensaver did not get tinted blue when it appeared in that area so the "white" that got tinted last night probably was not a pure white.

I went through all of the settings and tinkered with them, reset back to factory settings, etc. I tried different inputs and with no inputs plugged in and the blue cloud is there in all cases in the same place and shape. The TV is new, so I can deal with Amazon to exchange it or Samsung to get it replaced/repaired under warranty. I'm just looking for potential fixes that I may not have thought of and will be less hassle if they work than packaging it up and shipping it back will be. The internet has not been terribly helpful with this - just suggested doing what I've already done and some potential fixes that are more for if it's just 1 or 2 pixels and may or may not even work on an led tv since they were fixes for an lcd tv with a hot pixel.

It sounds like a manufacturing defect and I would just get it replaced despite the hassle. You could also call Samsung's customer service to see if there is an alternate solution.

I bought a refurbished TV a few years ago that has a similar problem but it's green and not blue. There's no fixing it yourself as far as I know, so I'd recommend exchanging it.

Just to clarify, you probably have an LCD TV with a LED backlight, not a true LED screen. Unless you spent $20,000 plus on the thing, then you might have an LED TV.

It sounds likely that a patch of the backlight LEDs are defective and are not able to produce as white a light as the rest. Returning/exchanging for another TV would be your easiest solution.

It's whatever gets classified as an LED TV by Samsung.

In any case, a new one is on the way from Amazon and should be here tomorrow. Until then, the current one works, it's just annoying.

"LCD with LED backlight" covers...99% of all the "LED" monitors and TVs out there, does it not? I don't think there was any confusion.
