Daredevil (Matthew Murdock) is a fictional character, a superhero in the Marvel Comics Universe. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett in Daredevil vol. 1, #1 (April 1964), he is notable as being among the few superheroes with a disability. Blinded during his youth, his other four senses developed to compensate, and he obtained a sonar-like ability to perceive objects.
Over the years Daredevil has been the guardian of Hell's Kitchen in 616's New York. Starting serious shit there means you're going to be getting a visit from this fine fellow. He is unique in that his strengths are attributed to his handicap of being blind, and seldom has there been characters used in this fashion that aren't some sort of parody.
So...I suppose the first question I pose to you all would be: Brubaker's run. Is it overrated?
