I reformatted recently and thus, lost a lot of my windows network settings. Before I got my 360 online by using Internet Connection Sharing. I had a crossover cable running from my 360 to the computer, and a wireless antenna on the back of my PC connected to a wireless adapter that sends signals to a "router" (kind of, it's a pc my dad built that basically manages our entire network.) However..
When I reformatted, I reinstalled my drivers for LAN and wireless adapter. When I tried to get my 360 online today (I just set ICS on my wireless adapter and checked some settings) it would not connect. I did a test and it said the IP failed. I forgot what I did, but I messed with settings in LAN and on the 360 and got it to work with the IP and then go to DNS. It failed, and then I forget exactly why. I couldn't get it to work, and I reverted back to a broken IP after fiddling with settings some more.
So can someone who does ICS on the 360 help me with this and run me through some steps?
