According to the people in the closed beta, that weird online Chinese game (Xuan Dou Zhi Wang) that SNK helped make is a pretty good! PR Balrog's been playing it a lot and the netcode is apparently incredible.

I'm gonna put this out. The general system change to wakeups helps deathstroke immensely.

Grapplers were already basically fucked until they got a knockdown, but now sword spin is a safe get out of command grab free card. Sword flip gaining some invincibility means doomsday has to respect the knockdown instead of running an all night love train once he's got the corner.

He still has a few horrible matchups that he didn't have in 1.0, but that's okay. He had like 0 bad matchups then. Unfortunately his bad matches are all the damn powerhouses.

Fortunately Kabal DS is the greatest.

In summary: GUNS.

well he's run mags instead of vergil many times along with lots of other variations. I wouldn't read anything into what he picks at battle circuit

It would be great if it got some kind of downloadable console release since consoles are going to be more PC than ever next gen.

Because I have no PC with enough power to run it, but it looks fun.

I was kinda mad because my inescapable setups are now beatable by wakeup. But I'm happy because I can actually get pressure off me now on my wakeup.

Yeah he took the first set in Grand finals with that team.

Flocker sent him to losers to begin with when he was playing the vergil team.

Ok, I got Mahvel baby and a SFxT stick. Game is wicked fast, and there are no great modes for actually learning (though the Missions mode was good for picking up some basic combo stuff). I like Wolvy so far, haven't had much of a chance for anyone else. Wanted to love Thor, because he is awesome. But was having a tough time with combos and he felt kind of sluggish getting moves out... Hopefully I just need to learn him up to do good.
Anyone have good tips for just getting started? I'm not super huge into fighters, so I don't have much to go off of.

thor is bad, but i, too, am ass at the game

maybe in the morning i can tell you some of the things i have learned as a scrub

we have a few good marvelers in here that i'm sure could give you advice

i can not operate at the limited thinking level that wolverine requires. i do not mean that in a bad way. a lot of wolverine is just instinctual rush down and I am constantly thinking in a match, which tremendously limits my ability to do anything with that type of character.
