[Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F (PS3)] Evacuate the dance floor!

Fantastic news, though this bit concerns me a little:
-This is a definite buy for me (I like vocaloids quite a lot, and you made a great choice here), but I do have a question. It sounds like most of the songs will be in Japanese… are you putting in any kind of subtitles (perhaps large ones, in the background) to make it easy for players to understand what’s being said? Or will we just be hearing it, mostly without understanding?
-It’s a little too early for me to comment on this yet, but we will have more news on this front in the future!
Anyway, for the unfamiliar, it's a rhythm game kind of similar to DJ MAX or Beatmania. Keysounded tracks that you play with the PS face buttons, and if you do really well, the song gets an extended version.
The Vita version was one of the few games that I've bothered to import, and I don't regret it at all.
It is, however, regrettable that Sega still has made no motion to bring that version over in any form.
The flooding of requests for the Vita on their Facebook page as well as that recent PSBlog page is some measure of vindication however, even if they appear to fall on deaf ears (aside from that poor PR drone that probably doesn't have much more pull with Sega than any of the commenters).
Screens show romanji instead of japanese text for the lyrics so far. I really, really, really hope they provide subtitled translations for the songs. Some of the songs in this game have very deep and impressive lyrics which is lost if they just turn into sweet background noise without a translation.
World's Dance Hall for example is a Miku + Luka duet about the bigotry and hate a same-sex couple faces and the challenges because of that.
Vocaloids/Modules included in Project Diva F:
Hatsune Miku
Kagamine Rin
Kagamine Len
Megurine Luka
KAITO
MEIKO
Here's some examples of the game on the hardest mode:
Tried the demo. And jesus fuck... this game is ass. I really thought this game would be completely up my alley. But fuck... this "rhythm" game isn't. It's just a bunch of random beats flying around the screen that's difficult as hell to keep track of.
I'll definitely do my best to give it a fair shake and get back to it, because I really want to like it. But first impressions? Barf!

It takes some time to click. In case you're as confused as I was, the arrow keys mean the appropriate d-pad direction and the matching face button color(so left red would be left + circle).
Shit, it took me 3 restarts of the first song to figure out that the star meant using the stick. That brief instructional image during loading doesn't last very long...

I haven't played the PS3 version yet. What do they do with the Scratch (Star) notes? In the Vita version you either scratch the screen or the back touchpad (your preference) for them.
I played this game again for two hours again tonight. I forgot how addicting it was since I haven't picked it up in a while.
So, I think the demo definitely sold me on this. I was hoping for the vita version, but if this selling even a bit helps that materialize over here, I am all over it.

Just tried the demo and World's Dance Hall. Yeah, the whole stick-flicking thing make's it 100x easier to get 'Cool's on Star Notes than using the touchscreen/touchpad. Though I hope the main game has a button option for them so I can play with a fightstick for maximum arcade experience.
The PS3 version has 6 more songs than the Vita version (which are apparently coming as DLC for the Vita version... but I can't purchase them unless I switch my Vita version over to a Japanese account. So good news there. More music is always nice. Besides that, it's the same game, only less portable and a bigger screen.
i picked this game up because of a pretty crazy trade in deal at gamestop, plus i blasted through SR4 so i figured i needed something new heh. it seems super great so far! reminds me of a flashier/harder to follow version of the defense mode from Gitaroo Man, which is probably my favorite rhythm game ever.
i didnt see any right off, but by any chance are there friend leaderboards in this game?
its pretty tricky on normal already, on some songs. mainly because it throws some real weird rhythms at you, and without a set area where the notes are coming to it can be hard to gauge that stuff when you dont know the songs.
good lord. i tried Remote Controller on hard just to see what it was like, since thats probably my favorite song so far. thats a pretty damn serious step up in difficulty heh. i scraped through but just barely. and then i tried extreme mode and... whoa.
alright, beat normal w/all chance times completed. the couple songs i tried on hard seemed doable. im glad theres no trophies related to perfect runs or extreme mode though, because that stuff seems totally insane.
Tangentially related, but I'm waiting for them to release more Vocalids in English. I mean, the very first ones were English. It just didn't rise in popularity until Japan got their hands on them.
I've never played any of the other Hatsune Miku games at all and my first exposure to it was a Toyota commercial that she was in. I picked this up to see what all the fuss was about. The game play very frenetic compared to other games in the genre like Gitaroo-Man and Bust a Groove/Move so it takes some time to adjust to. Once I got used to it I have to say I am enjoying the game quite a bit. Hopefully there will be some DLC with some more songs in the near future.

I bit the bullet and bought this last night, to kick off the rust I'm flying through on Easy. Had forgotten how awesome World's End Dance Hall. Has anyone gotten to Extreme yet? On Vita there were a handful of songs I could scrape my way through, I'm hoping to best that before too long.
Also my god, I went into Edit Mode and shed a silent tear at the depth. It looks cool, but I don't have the time to put into this to make Miku dance to JRPG music.

There is a 0 DP item you can add before each song that lets you use L1/R1/L2/R2 for star notes.

im playing through hard now and generally making it through songs on the first go, even if its not with a great score. the couple tracks ive tried on extreme just stomped me into the ground.

it's a fun game that's way more enjoyable when you get to play it by slapping giant buttons

Could emulate the experience by playing with a fightstick.

Do kinda wish the game had more male voice songs.

Melancholic was my first Hard, cleared in one go, barely.
Did no one else here get this?
New favorite song is Remote Controller. Len and Rin are too awesome.
(Yes, the nyan cat song.)

How's the songs that aren't in the Vita version (outside of DLC I can't access without account switching)?
// Switch: SW-5306-0651-6424 //
Sweet Devil
Tell Your World
東京テディベア (Tokyo Teddy Bear)
夢喰い白黒バク (Monochrome Dream Eater)
千本桜 (Thousand Cherry Blossoms (Senbonzakura))
リンちゃんなう! (Rin-Chan Now!)
I want to know how much I should look forward to any of them when I can finally play my PS3 version in 1-2 months.

The Hatsune Miku vocaloid has an English version on the way.

Wow that English Kaito sounds awful.
But man, that upcoming English Miku sounds pretty good.
