It's a New Musical Instrument that has a tangible tabletop interface.

I'm kind of blown away =O as an avid fan of electronic music production these kinds of demos excite me.

I think it's a really cool idea, but what I really want to see is someone playing an actual song on it.

So.. essentially it's a pretty set of knobs that any respectable music producing software already contains? Huh.

Call me an asshole, but I'm not impressed by the gimmicks. Sure is pretty, though.

Not new, actually a few years old, and there are plenty of videos out there of people actually "playing" music on it.

I use quotes because... yeah, not that impressive. As a gadget demonstration of "oh, neat!" or an educational toy for children, it's pretty cool.

As an actual instrument though, useless.
