I just checked over the discount % on majornelson.com. Only two of these games have been 50% off; everything else has had more of a discount. I'm really impressed.

Prey is worth that money if only for the first hour or so of the game.

Bulletstorm I might buy... I think I rented that game, but $5 isn't too hateful.

prey is terrible, it hasn't aged well at all... and I played it 3 years ago. you can youtube the intro and save 3 bucks. rockstar table tennis is a much better game. I bet you can find both those games for cheaper than 3 bucks though. bulletstorm is an absolute steal at 5 bucks though, awesome story and co-op.

While they aren't for everyone, two XBLA games I really enjoy that aren't in the OP are Castlevania: Harmony of Despair and Double Dragon: Neon.

There's also the ports of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Banjo Kazooie, and Banjo Tooie if you don't have them available on another system.

Also, while I enjoyed Castle Crashers more, I've played a ton of Battleblock Theater (and have gotten all but one of the currently available Star Heads). Every two weeks they update the Featured Playlist with a new set of user-created levels and let you unlock a new Star Head for completing them (they also tend to give away a free Star Head on nearly every holiday, just for logging in).

Castlevania HD is the greatest. Definitely my favorite XBLA game, maybe my favorite game on my xbox period. Although its mostly fun when you have at least one other player.

Forza Horizon is awesome if you enjoy racing games at all I highly recommend it. Left 4 Dead 2 and The Orange Box seem like good grabs if for some reason you don't already own those on PC or 360. I haven't played Crysis 3 or any of the Witcher games.

everyone says witcher 2 was amazing, would check it out if I weren't waiting to see what other games will be priced at.

L4D2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and orange box for 5 is not bad either.

Forza Horizon is a super fun racing game, with an absolutely terrible story attempting to fit it all together. I just ignored all the "wow white-tshirt-wearing average nobody guy, you could be the next big champion of our festival and totally attractive to all the ladies as well!" pandering, as well as all the outrageous stereotype and pretty sexist rival racers, and got on with driving my fun sports cars around a fantastic open world.

Is Hitman worth it for ten bucks? Seem to recall people on here not being so thrilled with it. But it's been a while since I played a game of that type.

I know that Hitman connoisseur Tube absolutely hated it, more than 2. I think if you want to walk around and shoot some people, it'll tick that box, but if you're looking for a fun Hitman game, you're better off waiting. And yeah, I really want to get Xcom and it's cheaper there than anywhere else, buuut I've also been trying to rein in my spending lately with the likes of Far Cry 3 and Max Payne 3 waiting to be played... well, I've got today to decide, hey!

i'd say Hitman is worth $10, but then i wasn't as disappointed by the game as some were. it is a bit different from the earlier titles but at its core its still a decent Hitman game.

If you want your willpower to be eroded, go read the LP in SE++.

And thanks for the notes on Hitman. I definitely don't need another just run around and shoot people. Borderlands fills that gap quite admirably.

I expect I'll buckle tonight, and need to order some instant points. Also need to get Dragon Age and possibly Perfect Dark too, just because.

How is perfect dark? I didn't have a 360 early on and missed a lot of the early games. But then...It's $3

No idea how it holds up now, but I know it got fair-to-decent reviews for a launch title so.. it won't be anything remarkable. We're mainly considering it because we nearly bought it for the same price used a few weeks back, and now it's effectively new for dirt cheap, why not?

Ugh, that's disappointing that Revengeance is "only" 40% off. I was encouraged by the first two days of the sale and hoped it would be at least 50% if not more. I would have been struggling to pull the trigger even then but now it's definitely out of reach. Damn being broke with an expensive hobby!

Good thing I have FTL to keep me occupied.

You don't really have to play the first one to get the story of the second. I'd say play the first one before the second one anyway, though (if you have that option).

DA1 has less repetitive environments and a better story
DA2 has better gameplay and Varric, who is like DA's version of Garrus.

That's a tough one.

Revengeance probably has more replay value, but I think Infinite is the better game. Or course, one is a beat em up and the other is an FPS.

So apparently the no-patch fee thing DOES apply to previously released games. Fez is getting its patch for example.
