First thing I saw about this was Patrick's twitter saying "Giant Bomb has suffered a profound loss" and I just saw the name Ryan in the link, thinking he might be leaving or something. Dude had just got married too.
Really terrible. Following GB since its inception this is the deepest a death of someone I didn't personally know has had on me. One of his last tweets is also very eerie and tragic.

RIP Ryan, you will be missed.
As a regular listener to the Bombcast, I'm still really in shock about this.
Apparently he died on the 3rd, which means the GB guys had to sit on this for 4 days before the announcement. That must have been heart-wrenching.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone at Giant Bomb.

Wow. They are holding it together then. Good. If I was to guess, this was a heart attack or an accident.
This is the worst. I've been listening to this guys since 2008 so I feel like I know them personally even though they are just voices on a podcast. So in a weird way I feel like I've lost a friend.
I look up to Ryan and Jeff because I saw myself in them. He was a year younger than I. Really making me think about the way I live life now.
You'll be missed, duder.
As an aside: Why the 5 day wait to break the news?
The same man, I always could relate to those guys.
I'm sure keeping this under wraps was to respect family's wishes, and not have hundreds of idiot nerds with no tact showing up with NES controllers at his wake to put in the casket.
Holy crap. The guy was legitimately funny and loved his work (loved his Quick Looks and reviews), and now it all ends in an instant. Human life, man. RIP.
I listened to the Giant Bomb podcast every week., followed him on twitter and enjoyed his writings. He was as much part of my life as someone can be without actually being in it.
Very sad news.

That's absolutely awful. I can only imagine what his wife must be going through.

Truth. That makes it even more painful to hear.

I really could not believe this when I first read about it.
I've been following Giant Bomb since it first began, back when Jeff and Ryan were doing the Arrow Pointing Down podcast. I was always aware of Jeff Gerstmann, but up until that point I never really knew the other guys who would go on to be the core of Giant Bomb. Ryan quickly won me over, though.
Man, Ryan is the youngest person to die who I've been a fan of, and he was only four years older than I am. It really makes one aware of just how short our time on this planet is. I think I might start trying to take better care of myself thann I have been.
God this is so fucked up. I can think of few more tragic times to die than on your honeymoon. Just terrible. No spouse should ever have to go though that.
I stumbled onto giant bomb a few years ago when I was looking for podcasts to fill time, and it quickly became my favoirte podcast and one of the few I make an effort to never miss an episode, even if I wasn't filling time. Ryan was a big part of why it was good and it definitely won't be the same without him. He will be sorely missed.
34, god damn. And here I was bargaining with myself to make it to at least 60.

Was he in an accident? Was he sick? Do we know?
(Please do not gift. My game bank is already full.)
RIP Ryan, Tuesdays will never be the same.
Heart attack seems to be the cause.

Take it from a guy near his 40s. This is why you need to watch your health.
The key thing now is not to let this dissolve the show.

I can't really express my sadness and sympathy for his new wife. That's horrible.

That fucking laugh of his.
I can't imagine how his wife and the GB guys (especially Jeff) are handling this. Awful beyond all reason.

That was a very ominous tweet Ryan made.
