Other names for cats included Mite, who prowled around Beaulieu Abbey in the 13th century, and Belaud, a grey cat belonging to Joachim du Bellay in the 16th century. Isabella d'Este also owned a cat named Martino. Old Irish legal texts refer to several individual cats and names them: Meone (little meow); Cruibne (little paws); Breone (little flame, perhaps an orange cat), and Glas nenta (nettle grey). An Irish poem from the ninth century describes how a monk owned a cat named Pangur Bán, which meant 'fuller white'.

I mostly just call my cat "Kitty", but I've thought of using "Ozzy."

Because she bites the heads off things.

I only really skimmed through the Core WoD book but I'm currently on page 42 of the Mage book and the one thing that popped out at me was realizing this so much up my alley I cant believe I never really looked into it more.

The sheer amount of world building this book is doing is nuts, its actually kind of overwhelming because its not bogging me down in mechanics like I'm used to seeing in books like this maybe I'm just looking at the wrong ones.

I said this last night but its worth repeating, these books are so well designed its filling my head with ideas and Im barley even into the Mage book let alone any of the others.

I like that about NWoD: it shuffled all the accumulated cruft under a carpet made of torpor-induced memory loss and mythmaking, rather than being cold hard facts about the world.
