The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
[Superhero Movies] James Spader, we would have words with thee.
Captain America: Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are currently filming. Marvel has signed RDJ to reprise Iron Man in Avengers 2 & 3. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this fall on ABC. Iron Man 3 hits Blu-ray and DVD on 9/24.
Subsidiary Marvel projects including Amazing Spider-Man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past are also currently in production. The Fantastic Four reboot currently seems to have stalled out.
DC is on track to continue ruining the hopes and souls of children by making Man of Steel 2: Also Batman. Then a Flash movie where he gains his speed by devouring live kittens, probably. Who knows?
"What X-Force is – the way I talk about X-Force is… X-Men is about mutants, and not all the mutants get into the mansion. So I’m curious to tell a story about the mutants who don’t make it into the mansion... I’m a huge Deadpool fan, who doesn’t love Wolverine – but obviously Cable is an iconic character we haven’t seen onscreen yet. I love Psylocke, Domino is an amazing character – it’s a long list of characters that have appeared in X-Force – Colossus is in the current lineup… There’s a lot of really exciting characters that you can use in X-Force that have been in other movies, that haven’t shown up, or maybe there’s ways to re-imagine them, even though they might’ve shown up in other films."

I don't have anything against cable, but he isn't iconic.
I also dread seeing sexy domino and psylocke.

Well because I really don't want to drive all over town and near me is once of the worst comic shops in town
It's a secret
I set up a box with someone in PA and buy my comics from him and then wait the two weeks it takes to arrive to read them
It's far cheaper and easier than driving for 2 hours to get a few comics
X force anything less than it's over the top iconic 90's edition would seem lame

I'd rather they use one of the good versions of X-Force instead.

I am pretty dang sure that anyone who is saying that 90s X-Force is the correct choice has not read the Remender run.

They have definitely toned down the Asgaridians' costumes a bit from the comics - but not by much! I love that they're just like, "you know what? The Asgardians are crazy and they look crazy so who even cares if it seems a bit weird?" So perfect.

Wonder if that was a costuming issue.
According to the behind the scenes stuff, they liked wearing it (because they felt awesome wearing armor, particularly Sif and Loki), but it was a real pain to get into and out of.
IIRC Loki's headdress was like 4 pieces and Sif's armor didn't allow for much torso movement (but she felt heroic while wearing it because she was forced to stand tall and upright).
Mostly, I think they just decided not to be so ashamed of the fact that it's a movie interpretation of a comic book interpretation of the Norse pantheon. Which is cool.
when they do a Doctor Strange movie (and they will) the Ancient One should live in a mystical temple high in the himalayas
as the Doc is training, he sees a young man shattering rocks with his bare hands. Amazed, he mentions this to the Ancient One
"place him from your mind, young Stephen, for his path is a different one, though you will meet him many times again, I am sure..."
I'd lose my fucking shit
I don't know a whole lot about Dr. Strange or Iron Fist, but I always thought that their origins were sort of tied together in that they went to the same monastery at different times or something along those lines

Let Fenrir loose, punch the Midgard serpent, never trust an elf, and always buy dwarf smithings.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Not really. Strange learned under the Ancient One in Tibet, while Iron Fist grew up in a city called K'un L'un, which is hidden in the Himalayas. Somewhat close to each other geographically, but not connected at all that I'm aware of.
Well sure, you could have the Ancient One live in K'un L'un in a movie or something like that. I'd be fine with that. I'm just saying that they've never been connected in the comics that I know of.

X-Force perhaps?
sounds cool
I also dread seeing sexy domino and psylocke.
Cable, huge guns in hand, yelling as he rides a machine of questionable origin, is the icon of 90s comics.
They'll have to use most of the FX budget creating the muscles that Liefeld thinks a human should have.
I might head out this weekend and pick up the next few issues and then actually keep up with it
I'm already keeping up with Killjoys so why not
I need a good place to keep flimsy-ass regular comic books
It's one of the main reasons I started only buying trades.
I really want to see Josh Brolin Cowboy Batman

was kind of worried they would cop out there
It sounds like they're mashing up a bunch of different versions of X-Force and it does not fill me with hope.
Fantastic.

easily
At this point would the MCU ever actually cop out on something? I guess elves are uncharted territory, but still.
