I have to say he is probably a combination of the two, like for them Rock Giants just happen to be an alien race called the Kronans

I got nothing for you now. Try again later.

    "That was for New York!"

Can movies please stop doing this.

It would have been better if it had been a mace or a hammer instead of a slap.

I mean, it's rough for it to be in the trailer, because as much information as we have so far, we don't even know if Jane's been to New York. shoulda been for Eric Selvig

    Uh

regardless of if she has been there, spearheading the first alien invasion and killing, probably, thousands of innocents is definitely worth a slap

    So ok

If there were super-villains between 2 and 3, that makes Batman look like an asshole because he didn't do anything about it

If there weren't then how is this show literally any different from a million other cop dramas

I'd be more interested in Law and Gotham, where the first half is batman collaring a guy and the second half is harvey dent Jack McCoy arguing the cases in court.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

That just reminds me of the comic where Bruce Wayne was called to jury duty against a guy Batman caught.

"Do you have any reason you shouldn't be on this jury, Mr. Wayne?"

"Yes. I'm secretly Batman, so I'm biased against the defendant."

    "Very funny."

Or a mace in the face. They should have Hogun there so Jane could grab his mace and smash Loki's head with it. Then she could be like, "thanks," and hand the mace back to Hogun.

The ultimate [act] that would be the taboo, to show how bad some villain is, was to have somebody being raped, you know? I don’t really think it matters. It’s the same as, like, a decapitation. It’s just a horrible act to show that somebody’s a bad guy.

All that said, I think one thing in his quote to The New Republic was accurate: when you read Millar’s comics, you walk away knowing exactly who the bad guy is.

Sean Young is mad about that Blade Runner sequel
The ongoing Voight-Kampff Test that is the making of another Blade Runner movie has already proposed several hypothetical questions designed to provoke an emotional response. What if it were a sequel that may or may not feature a visibly aged Harrison Ford? What if it were written by the guy who did Green Lantern? And now this scenario:

You’re in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down and see Sean Young. Sean Young lies on her back, her belly baking in the hot sun, her acting work stagnating after years of well-documented crazy behavior. She’s beating her legs, giving desperate-sounding interviews to Entertainment Weekly, starring in movies with names like Jug Face, trying to turn her career over, but she can’t. Not without Ridley Scott’s help. But according to Sean Young, he’s not helping. Why is that, Ridley Scott?

Alcon—they’re the ones that own it and apparently they have Ridley to direct it — and when I met with them they didn’t make any offer-plans to include me. And when I called Ridley Scott’s office, he doesn’t call me back. So I guess they’re going to go, like, prequel or…I don’t know what they’re going to do. But my official opinion is that, if they don’t include me in it, everybody should boycott it. Because it’s stupid not to have me in it. It’s really stupid. That’s my opinion! I mean, you try to tell people something sensible in Hollywood and sometimes they just don’t listen, you know. And they usually pay the price too, because everybody’s an expert.

Indeed, Sean Young tries to tell Hollywood something sensible—like saying they should cast one of the city’s most notoriously difficult and unstable actresses, as a noticeably much older version of a character who's designed not to age—and for whatever reason, they choose to ignore her. Maybe they’re fed up. Maybe they want to be by themselves. Maybe they’re clinging to the few remaining strands of logic behind making more Blade Runner that they have left. Who knows? It’s completely hypothetical, as is the idea that anyone who cares that deeply about Blade Runner isn’t already planning a boycott.

It’s too bad they won’t listen to Sean Young. But then again, who does?

    I love Sean O'Neal

Yeah, this seems like Tom Taylor's response to what he was told to write to get attention for the start Injustice. For someone who dreamt about writing Superman, and who clearly does understand the character, to have to write the first issue must have been rough

and also possibly a swipe at MoS

Man I enjoyed the hell out of the Injustice story for what it was

The way they set it up left a lot to be desired but it was a perfectly good actioney take on Justice League vs. Justice Lords with some good moments, particularly
Bruce telling Evil Damien that Dick was his son

And real Superman giving a good old fashioned lecture to Evil Superman

DC: Even when we have a good idea, we will find a way to fuck it up.

They are currently approaching Charmed and Congress for levels of "good idea fuckuppery".

So I wonder how much damage the current editorial team can do to DC before someone higher up the Bugs Bunny chain has to come in and clean house.

I mean, you've already got some of your writers and artists nearly in open revolt and a website dedicated to tracking how long since your last major fuck-up (of which you've never gone even two weeks without triggering an update).

I know they're probably safe as long as they can bring in enough money, but how much longer can they rely on their holofoil covers and #0 issues to save them?

WB doesn't care about DC, except for as an IP library. The entirety of their comic production could go tits up and I doubt WB would even blink.

I may or may not have bought Spider-Man 1, 2, and Amazing Spiderman on Blu-Ray after discovering the remastered versions were on sale.

Kind of fucked up that the "Mastered in 4K" versions don't include any special features, but I'd rather have that the the incredibly shitty artwork that the last release had:

  • EtchwartsEtchwarts Eyes Up Registered User regular
I actually own 1 and 2 with that artwork

The actual box has reversible art which is much more stomachable

  • Sir PlatypusSir Platypus Registered User regular
But that art wouldn't have the spine with the title and everything. It looks nice as inner artwork, but wouldn't work for me.

I am basically an insane person when it comes to the way my media looks. There Will Be Blood is probably the only case of reversable art that would actually work for me, because it was formatted the same as usual on both sides.

  • EtchwartsEtchwarts Eyes Up Registered User regular
Oh, yeah, I get that. If there's a few options I'll go for the coolest looking one, but in this case I was out spending birthday money and they had those where I was at and I thought "Hey, sure! I never did get around to seeing the extended edition of Spider-Man 2!"
