Just a thread for people to post on matters like: How will LAN gaming be held? There are going to be computers there - but is it a first come first serve basis? Are there going to be people lining up at the door?

And uh, advising people to take showers the day of it, so you don't smell up the place.

Just... generally informing the public about such things.

The computers there are for the tournaments, and they are owned by LANwerx. If you didn't get a BYOC spot, you can't LAN.

Are you sure? The official schedule would suggest otherwise. It clearly says "free play" for a good chunk of both days.

Theres no possible way the house PC's are for the comps only, that would be so completely idiotic. Thats like saying you can only play on the gamecubes, ps2's and xbox's during competitions. Obviously during the freeplay hours youll get to play on the house PC's.

The Lanwerx systems will be usable by anyone during time not scheduled for tournament play and during the later rounds of each tournament.

But how will extra people be handled? Lining up at the door, or just standing by the guy playing while pretending to be patient?

That's what I'm curious about too - I'm betting it's first come first serve, you don't get a spot, you don't get to play.

I'm personally going to be there for most of the late night free play, so I don't fear not getting a computer.

I'm going to be there all night too (Parents willing :p), but during the day I could see this being a major problem.

Bring a monitor for my computer for the weekend, and I'll let you free play on it all you want when I'm not there:
