MOTW 9/11/13: Excuse me, but that's......just......rude
Please don't forget what happened 12 years ago today.
Manhattan Projects #14, say hello to Hickman's version of General Westmoreland, and while the Marvel Universe needs a superteam to fight alien invasions, in this universe all that is needed is a dog:
Avengers #19, don't reason with the enemy. Ever.
Eternal Warrior #1, I like Hairsine's rougher work here, and we see that the Eternal Warrior's daughter was Miley Cyrus, only six thousand years ago (topical!):

Well, I said "could have ridden with", not "could have been". Carthage was a Phoenician colony, but it was also in North Africa, and so much of the population were dark-skinned Africans.

Is he still Armstrong's brother? (Haven't read the new versions yet of either).
"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic
As I recall the three brothers were Sumerian.

This whole issue is super spoiler, but I'd be remiss if I didn't post at least one moment from it, because unless something really stupid happens in last book ( and I doubt it will, Joe Hill seems to have this locked up , and it's gonna go down as one of my top 5 favorite stories ever hopefully)
Anyway, spoiler alert!
Blech. The premise of Cataclysm is somewhat interesting, but that entire issue was just so busy and over-saturated with stuff going on and some really awful dialogue. ADHD-errific.
New way.
May I ask why?

Man, this issue was fantastic.
Also good this week; Brain Boy, Infinity: The Hunt (I know not everyone was a fan of it, but I liked the slow build of tension), and Manhattan Projects.
I also bought New Crusaders Vol. 1 from Comixology, and holy cow, that's a damn good superhero comic. It has that mix of soap opera, archetypical characters, action, and subversion of tropes, that makes it read much like a classic superhero book, but smarter and better.
For instance, there's this bit.
Until they show up to help the New Crusaders, including a rather ungrateful Shield.
For those who weren't big nerds for the !mpact Universe, or one of the several Red Circle revivals, these guys were all along the Batman/Punisher/Spectre spectrum of superheroes, explaining why they're in prison.
It's total fanservice, but I also just really love the idea of a world where, after the superheroes "won," they even rounded up the Batmen and Punishers. And I love the idea that those guys are still committed to doing the right thing, even though they're stuck in jail.

Sex & the Cthulhu Mythos
I love, the, uh, physical scan of the actual pages, with the split of the page, the slight sheen and shadow where the two pages meet, and seeing the staples. Call me crazy, but I'd really dig a digital comic that left stuff like that in.
James Stokoe is doing Prophet!?!?! Bah! Now I have to add this back to my pull list!!!!
Sex & the Cthulhu Mythos
I'm trade waiting it. I got the first volume of it and Glory in singles, but I don't have time to read them anyway. But holy shit, Prophet just keeps getting more amazing.
I think I want to buy into a small shop when I get the money just to have an excuse to store all the trades of stories I haven't read and may never read. I should grant myself that one luxury.
