I want to make these. I have pancake mix + instructions + nice blueberries. Do I add the berries while I'm mixing everything together or just pop them into the batter when I pour it onto the pan? Please help, I have never done this or anything like this before.

I pretty much make Chocolate Chip pancakes every weekend. I just mix up my batter and add the chips in after it's been mixed. Pour onto griddle and keep an eye on them since the chips can and will stick to the griddle and burn. I would just add em into the mixed batter before you pour.

Taco Bell does win the franchise war according to the tome of knowledge that is Demolition Man. However, I've watched Demolition Man more then a few times and never once did I see WoW. In conclusion Taco Bell has more lasting power then WoW.

I find you get better round, even pancakes if you sprinkle the berries on top after the batter is sizzling in the pan, before you flip 'em. But that's just my experience. :B

This is the right way to go. After you pour out the batter on the griddle, add the blueberries, then flip. If you mix them into the batter, you get a lot of bruised berries and purple pancakes.

You also get better control of how many berries per pancake, and the placement of the berries if you don't mix them into the batter.

I've gone with a few berries mashed and mixed to give the dough a blue colour and a nice taste, and then popped them on top as others have said.

Don't mix them all in prior to grilling, you won't like the results as much.
