That's not a bad deal, you're still at the mercy of what bitz he sends you, but if no one else bids, 50% of retail is a solid price.

I need a little math help, because I haven't done complex probabilities in a long time.
Was playing a thousand point game of 'crons vs IG, and had my 'deathstar' of a veiling Cryptek and 15 warriors pop in on a space marine tac squad, which having suffered one casualty from my last round of shooting, was down to 9. Rolling hot, 30 rapid fire gauss shots inflicted exactly 9 wounds, and my SM fielding friend promptly failed 9 3+ saves.
So what exactly is the chance of rolling that? .33^9?

@Gabriel_Pitt was is you that one time had to roll a single 6 out of like 20 dice and failed? I think I have a picture of it somewhere.

I think that was the full squad of 20 warriors plus cryptek trying to strip the last hull point off that damn vindicator. I just needed ONE gauss 6 to do it, but...

Guy across from me at work is another 40k player, gave me an interesting idea for the Kill Team event: Vespid.
S5/AP3 guns would negate all armor saves for the event, and they're cheap enough I could field a swarm of 10. Though I might take a Crisis suit as a leader and just fill out the rest of the 200 points with the bugs.

Long as they remove stuff like "warp eddies" hopefully it'll be ok (yes I know it was a way to make space ships more like ocean naval battles. Some things just don't translate well.)

Vespids in the latest edition are really not all that bad, they're just kind over shadowed by everything else in the codex, and have some really godawful models.
I wonder if there's anything in Infinity's model range that would make a good stand-in?

Sure if you want your vespid to have boob armor, combat heels, and little tiny guns.
I really want to make two units of grots, but I really suck at converting.

Greetings to all my Necron OverBros! I've got a question for all ye cruising around in your pimping command barges - Who still has the TL Tesla Destructors
that are leftover if you build the command barge, instead of the annihilation barge? I just realized this bit fits perfectly onto the open pylons on the Tomb Complex terrain piece and am hoping I can convince someone into handing over one more. Given that Command Barges are hot, and Annhilation Barges not, I'm hoping someone has one lying around.

Annhilation barges are the most powerful thing in the Necron codex, FYI.
Shows how much I know. I thought Command Barges were the in thing.
There are some good rules for chariots, but for points/effectiveness, the AB cannot be beat. Basically, move as far as you possibly can, which makes all of your shots snap shots, and then abuse probability + tesla for the win. Always be jinking, too.
No you're right, Command Barges are pretty ridiculous as of 7th, too. Annhilation Barges are still superior IMO, but y'know just take both.

Well, guess I need some annhilation barges then. I just hoped someone had a spare tesla destructor from the command barge, because the tomb complex pylons look hella cool with that on top of them. ^_^

Because that would be much too easy.

Also, I totally forgot that E-bay existed.

Well Pathfinders are painted.
Only thing not finished are my second Firewarriors and a Broadside.
And Drones.
So.
Many.
Drones.
Hoping to pick up some Vespid this Friday and have them done by next Saturday for the kill team event.
Need to take some pictures tonight or next week and post. I'm still not too happy with my detail and texture work compared to you guys here (I can never get that smooth even coat and my detail work is ok, but both are due to my own impatience).
Decided to throw in some back story for my Tau:
During the 3rd expansion, a cadre from the Au'taal sept discovered an unusual crystal on a dead world. This greenish crystal had immense potential for a power source but was highly toxic. Harvesting the materials showed how actively aggressive it was, with some Earth Caste workers having their own bodies start growing the crystals and eventually turn crystalline entirely due to mishandling. Further discovery showed more potent variations in a Blue coloration and even Red, which was deemed to unstable for use.
But that didn't stop the experimentation or the harvesting. This Cadre has even taking to seeding certain areas to harvest the crystals for later use.
The Earth Caste designated the Unknown Material B3-(due to its discovered location on a Barren world during the 3rd Expansion) T1-(potential properties as a Tier 1 energy source) R1-(prioritization of reclamation).
After all, this power source could be used to significantly expand the reach of The Greater Good. And the T1-B3-R1-UM must grow...

Nocren that fluff is silly and I like it. Figured it out just before they "gave it a name".

I got some blue crystals I put on some bases as objective markers and with some suits/guys as basing fluff.
Thinking I should get some green ones and put some of the tiny-tiny bits on the bare headed Tau and Kroot.
EDIT: MOAR PICTURES!!!
98% done with the Devilfish. Need detail work on the Scout Drone/Hatch underside (though I admit that the hand painting of the stenciling turned out good).
And my Commander with Bodyguards and Crisis Team loaded out.
2 Missile launchers and flamers for the 2 Crisis, flamer/shield/C&C node for leader
One of the bodyguards get as stim injector, shield gen, flamer and the "ignore cover of this model doesn't shoot" gear. He also always takes the hits for the commander.
The flamers are for if/when the groups are ever assaulted and are too far away for Overwatch from another unit (and overwatch in general).
Puts me at 192 out of 200, good mobility and weapon strength/range/AP. Every model has Fleet & Hit and Run to stay out of CC... I think my chances with this might be good.

Well maybe I can mix it up some...
And by us, I mean DE players looking for some Grotesques that aren't shit-cast.
So, it's not so busy these days but time for a new thread? I'll make a new one tomorrow if no one else does
I'm gonna ge dems Skaven ones, though. They look like they'll fit just fine with a couple of helmet/mask swaps.
I totally forgot those were things.

Crisis Suit Leader - 2 Plasma Rifles (not twin linked), Vectored Retro Thrusters, Shield Drone
Crisis Dirty Fighter - 2 Burst Cannons (not twin linked, poison (4+)), VRT, Shield Drone
Indomible Vespid - Feel No Pain
Weapon Specialist Vespid - Master Crafted Neutron Gun
Vespid Stingwing
