Finding a a specific comic - help!

I have been looking for a cartoon for a while that I saw in the late 80's or early 90's. It shows two characters, one in front of a blackboard covered with a lot of complex work. The second is a student sitting at a desk. The first character says to the student, "now do you understand?", and the student replies something like, "no but I am now confused on a higher plane".

I used to have a copy of this comic but lost it years ago in a move. I have searched repeatedly to find it with no luck, and would like to find out both from what comic it is from and how to get a copy.
