Help me identify this icon in my notification bar

I've been poking around to try and figure out what this damn thing represents:



I've tried to disable/enable a few features such as GPS, NFC and the like, but it won't disappear. I'm using a Verizon LG G2, if that has any bearing.

Well, like you say you have disabled it, but that does look a heck of a lot like the GPS notification on my phone, a pos kyocera loft.

That is absolutely a location service icon of some sort.

According to the manual, that's the Location Services On icon. I would guess to disable it you'd go to Settings>Personal>Access to my location.
