DOSBox Joystick Y-Axis Only Moves Downwards

Dunno if anyone will be able to solve this, mostly I'm posting in case anyone else has run into the same issue...

In DOSBox, it seems like no matter what configuration settings I use, my Logitech Extreme 3d Pro joystick won't work. Specifically, in every game, the X axis works fine (joystick moves left, game moves left, joystick moves right, game moves right) but no matter what I do, moving both up and down on the Y axis only ever moves down in any of the games. Even rebinding the axes to other things via the DOSBox control mapper doesn't seem to change anything. Anyone know what's up?

Have you confirmed that the joystick still works? Does it work correctly in Windows?

Yeah it works fine everywhere else.

Weird discovery: if I move the joystick very slightly up and to the left (so, very slightly off-center) it moves upwards in DOSBox games. Move it slightly more and it goes back to behaving normal - it moves left and down.

    So very fucked up.
