Cosmic Star Heroine E3 2016 trailer is live! (New Sci-Fi/Spy RPG from Zeboyd Games)
When can I give you money on PSN? Fucked up and missed the kickstarter...
just PM him your credit card ad/or bank account number and he'll take care of it for you.
Thanks! I'll just post it here for any other PA folks who are interested in making games, would love to support 'em:
Visa, 4453-1235-1938-8572, expires June 2018, security number 343. Just PM me the PSN code, cheers!
This was a joke everyone
Was that not clear?
Yeah a few people bought it.
That's... disappointing. I mean, I guess we're made up of the same demographic as my company, sorta, but I'd have expected better. But yeah, totally random set of numbers based on slapping my fingers on the keyboard, not worth trying to use or anything, sorry for any confusion.
There's a fine art to making a fake number and communicating that it is indeed fake. Fake Phone Numbers always start with 555, for instance, for a variety of reasons mostly that they don't actually connect to anything beyond a few specific cases, given they were offered as nationwide numbers that would work on a local level but the service hasn't actually been activated because Phone Companies say it would cost too much money. And it's less necessary these days anyway. Further, a number that starts 555-01## will never connect to anything because they've been specifically withheld. People and companies actually do own 555 numbers starting at 02 but, again, no service.
I'm not sure the best way to communicate a fake credit card number but "literally just random numbers" is pretty much what people see Credit Cards as anyway. I mean, I figured it wasn't a real number so I didn't pay much attention but "I'm disappointed that people didn't know this card number that looks exactly like what people expect a credit card number to look like" is kinda the wrong tack here.
To bring this on-topic, if there are any 555 listings in the game, like in flavor text or the like, now you know why? I guess?

Was it also Luhn formula compliant? I had the "pleasure" of dealing with an eCommerce site a looong time ago, and had to learn way too much about credit card validation.
Anyway, man I wish this game was out now on Vita. It'd be the perfect game to spend my vacation on next week.

I used to work in credit card processing software. I've implemented a Luhn checker, several times actually. Most people do not want to know what goes on in the card processing world. You just don't.
I would love to use my Luhn-valid credit card number to buy Cosmic Star Heroine now.

This releases tomorrow!
Super excited for this. I've loved all of Zeboyd's games and it's been super fun to watch them grow from Breath of Death to Precipice 4 and now on to CSH.
Eh, from what I've read, we're looking at a 4GB+ download. What with all the cutscenes and not-actually-tiled maps 'n whatnot. They plan to look into compression to get that number down for the Vita version, though.
Three hours and change! (For Steam, anyway.)
[EDIT] Noooooooooooooooooooo ... it's not here yet. "This game will unlock in approximately less than an hour." Bah. Oh well, guess I can have dinner first.[/EDIT]

You guys might want to hold off on playing it for a bit if you're on PS4:
Oh wow, they're not having much luck with their distribution fronts, are they?
First the PSN version for europe got delayed a week, since separate certification or something, Then an old Beta build went live on the US PSN instead of the proper version. And now Steam:
Bought it and played the two first chapters. Other than spending 5 minutes trying to find out what button opens up the main menu (it's TAB) it's pretty much as good as I expected. Started on the third difficulty and it seems just about what I want, battles are challenging but I haven't had any total wipes yet.
One thing I really like is the main character's personality, after endless brooding dark heroes and gruff but tough manly heroes it is nice to play a hero who is bright and upbeat instead.
Well, finished this. Great game and it never outstayed its welcome, the dungeons were just about the right length so it never feels grindy - looks like it took me 15 hours to finish. Sadly there were a number of critical bugs that froze the game or messed up the menus etc which marred the experience somewhat. If you have bought this and haven't played it yet, I would wait a bit for a patch or two.
I really hope this sells enough for the devs to get paid properly for all of their hard work, but I'm a bit concerned there's not much hype. On Steam it's not even on the "popular new releases" tab, you'll probably have to go specifically looking for it to find it which doesn't bode well.

Well I'll be damned, Steam concurs.
Not that I ever doubted it'd arrive eventually, but it has been something of a long journey to this point. :-P
But just below it on my game list is Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, which I can download... that's close enough, right?
Yeah I know.
The soundtrack is probably over half the data.

I still have a beta of Molly the Were Zompire on my PC from the early XNA days of doing peer approvals and I will continue to support Zeboyd.

Edit: This is now the second most essential thing for PSN users. The most essential is that it's now live.
