Me too. I've been "waiting for other players" for at least ten minutes now. Even tried to quit out and come back in. Didn't seem to help.

I tried my best to make a character that looked like a modern John Marston but apparently I maxed out the Basehead slider and didn't notice it until it was too late. Now I get to look forward to playing a skinny, mute drug addict when the servers come back up.

Yeah, that's one of the things that I do like about this system. I just wish that they had added more potential parents to choose from. I think my person looks okay. If the game ever decides that I don't have to beat a race that keeps getting stuck at "Launching session" I may be able to take a selfie of her.

It's so dumb. I can see people dropping in and out of the "session" but it just never pops. The other funny thing is that I'm the only female avatar that I've come across. Also, because of her heels she's like 3-4 inches taller than everyone else. She's like my Saints Row Boss, heh.

edit: if the post below is true, I'll make a backup copy of my save now.

Be careful of repeatedly trying this. Some people are saying they've had save game corruption.

I recommend everyone just play singleplayer or do something else. Pretend it launches tomorrow.

The starting race not loading or having an error when it connects is a known problem. It is not going to magically start working if it is stuck on that loading screen. Stop playing it.

trying to save 25k to buy a 2 car garage, really want to get a motorcycle too. I am at 11k after knocking over a few stores and doing some missions. I have made it habit to put my cash away because I have had randoms roll up on me mid-robbery and kill me for cash/bounty money.

The grandparent options are key to making a good character. There are some differences that you can get going... especially if you mix your races.

I finally got around to verifying my rockstar social club account and doing all the other annoying gibberish they wanted me to do. I didn't even have a real username, hilariously. It was a randomised one. I hadn't actually cared enough to do anything with it. I've got one now.

Oh, the game gave up on putting me up against actual players and let me beat Lamar. VICTORY.

edit: then it reset my progress on a mission that I was in the middle of doing solo to put me with a group...

The grandparent options are key to making a good character. There are some differences that you can get going... especially if you mix your races.

he would be quasi likable then. Steve personally reminds me of John C. McGinley - which works fine.

edit: if you had Steve voiced by Benjamin, you might as well just have Archer in there instead.

Look for the car retreival requests from Simeon. Those take place in the open world so it's a bit more dangerous, but you can get ~$10K from a pristine car. I made it to $41K and decided I was saving all the way for a house.

Park the Cargobob on the pier near the sub. Might take a few tries, that thing's a beast and it's a tight fit.

Get out and hop in the sub. Make sure you're always looking at the chopper once you get on top of the sub to make sure it doesn't despawn. It might not, but I kept my eye on it just to be sure.

Drive the sub over to the shore north of the pier and beach it as best as possible. Then hop out, climb back onto the pier, hop in the chopper and fly over to pick it up. Make sure to pick it up right in the middle if possible, it seems to swing less wildly that way (though it'll still swing wildly). Fly smoothly and carefully or that thing whips around like a mofo.

Sub responsibly.

knocked over all the stores I can, got the achievement for sticking them all up. it's kind of a hassle though for like 2 grand. often I just shoot the clerk when it's time to leave because more often than not they pack heat and start shooting as I leave. always ends up with a 3 star chase, and helicopters are a pain in my ass.

BTW if you die when rich you lose way more, at 15k I pay a thousand bucks every time I die.

Sleeping - Increases : Stanima, Strength, Stealth and Lung Capacity Decreases: Nothing Max Hours: 12
Family& Friends- Increases: Stanima + Strength Decreases: Shooting Max Hours: 4
Playing Sports - Increases: Stanima+ Strength+ Lung Capacity Decreases: Shooting + Driving Max Hours: 8
Legal Work- Increases: Stanima + Stealth + Lung Capacity Decreases: Driving Max Hours: 10
Couch Potato- Increases: Flying + Driving Decreases: Stamina + Strength + Lung Capacity Max Hours: 8
Partying - Increases : Shooting + Stealth Decreases : Stamina + Strength+ Flying + Lung Capacity Max Hours: 8

Am I imagining things, or is it sucking funds out of the bank every time you die, both in free roam and during missions? I don't think I'll be touching deathmatch or the objective capture missions for a while if that's the case.

Not during missions.... free roam has the hospital costs (I just reload because I'm a cheapass) .

I think it does take some cash for failing a mission.

funny moment in game, a random killed me right as I got 25k for my garage, bumping me down to 24k. it was fucking ON. so I ran him over twice, shot his ass once, stole his car and tried to sell it.

apparently you can't sell personal cars, so I start dumping gas on it. the guy shows up just as I light the car up, and starts speeding at me. his new car clips the old burning one as it explodes, sending his car flying against a wall. as it flips over I unload my shotgun into the windshield.

take just enough cash from his body to buy my garage, and he promptly quits the game.

I can't remember who I was playing with but it was two Wang guys doing the crooked cop mission. They'd flipped out on their bike and I'm going to run them over and end up nicking their bike and doing this massive corkscrew off of the freeway. Then they shot me and I bumped them with my car and we both died.
